Gneo Fonteo In Gaeta

Abbiamo trovato la spiaggia e di conseguenza lo stabilimento grazie al suggerimento di un albergatore locale. Gneo Fonteo si definisce un club più che uno stabilimento. Magistralmente diretto da Peppe questo club ospita ai piani alti i Vip della zona in un ampio spazio verde attrezzato a ridosso della Club house con bar, ristorante, docce e servizi igienici sempre puliti. Il titolare ed il personale sono fantastici. Il cuoco è veramente un professionista in gamba. Si mangia molto bene e si spende poco in rapporto. Si può accedere liberamente alla sottostante spiaggia libera dove è possibile affittare sdraio e ombrelloni. Una laguna sorta sui ruderi, parzialmente sommersi, della villa del Console romano Gneo Fonteo, rivolta verso la città di Gaeta. In questo luogo paradisiaco ha trascorso i suoi ultimi anni la scrittrice siciliana Goliardia Sapienza. Sole, mare, cultura....

Un posto fantastico. Credo che sia la parte più bella di quel litorale. Bisogna andar presto per riuscire a trovare posto, ma il personale della spiaggia riesce sempre ad accontentare. Consiglio vivamente.

Peppe a guarantee, a very good chef today after the sea we had lunch with spectacular stringozzi, clams and mussels not to mention their homemade white wine made by them. Enchanting place, beautiful structure, impeccable services, low and honest prices for what is offered! If we talk about the sea... Stunning restaurant located on the Fontania beach with a crazy view, we took 1 fish first course of the day which was paccheri with stuffed squid which was really delicious and plentiful although perhaps the only thing was that the squid had cooked a little further and was a a little chewy, but the dish itself was really good, I then took a caprese which wasn't very good however since it was almost only tomatoes with a few mozzarella and only 1 Gaeta olive, but still good, sandwich with cutlet nothing to say just a a little tough. Recommended for lunch for those on the beach because you spend very little anyway. They also have usable and very clean showers, toilets and changing rooms, very friendly staff.

Fabulous place, a bay with crazy colours. But not only that... after a swim immersed in the ruins of a Roman villa (a marvel), you can have lunch at the restaurant above where you can eat magnificently! You must try chef Leopoldo's dishes which are truly amazing. In short, top experience!
