Gneo Fonteo In Gaeta

A small bar where you can also have lunch, located above Fontania Beach in Gaeta. You can reach it both from the beach and from the street where you can park on the street for €2 an hour all day. The place is very simple, the star of the show is the sea view, simply spectacular. Their menu offers various appetizers, first courses, second courses, and even a few desserts. We had a Sicilian-style tuna fillet (tomato, capers, and olives) with peppers (€16). The peppers were delicious, the tuna was not bad, but it was a shame that the inside was overcooked and almost like canned tuna. We then had a cutlet with buffalo mozzarella (€7). Nothing to complain about, I think the cutlet was supermarket-style, and the mozzarella was average. I also had some marinated anchovies (€5), which also seemed like classic supermarket ones to me. Finally, we had a black cherry semifreddo (€6), which was truly delicious. The service was fairly standard, neither excellent nor bad. The final price, including 1 portion of anchovies, 1 cutlet with mozzarella, 1 tuna with peppers, 1 dessert, and 1 bottle of still water, was €36, which I consider fair for the quality. Final rating: 6.8/10

Beautiful location...but for the restaurant, service and other things, they should close...book...an hour's wait...in conclusion, zero catering...only breakfast is worth saving

A lovely spot with a lovely view and not very crowded. It's certainly not the best restaurant or beach resort, but it's definitely a pleasant place to stay with reasonable prices.

Il miglior posto in tutta Gaeta . Lo consiglio sia per il servizio sia per il rapporto qualità prezzo . La parte alta con il giardino e il bar sono spettacolari . Vista sulle barche e si e' ad un passo dalla spiaggia . Provate a prenotarlo
