First time at Gioré, excellent experience. Very pretty and charming location, converted from a 17th-century oil mill, expertly renovated. Impeccable welcome and very friendly, polite, and precise service. We tried the tagliolini with wild boar ragù, very good and a generous portion. The potato gnocchi with saffron and monkfish were truly delicious 😋, very fresh and delicate but rich in flavor. The duck CBT was very good, especially the combination with the pumpkin sauce. The desserts are also well-crafted: the dark chocolate cake was delicious, and the tiramisu was a surprise, especially for its unusual, evocative, and innovative plating 😄🤩. Absolutely not to be overlooked is the selection of homemade breads, three different types (whole wheat, white, and pumpkin), delicious and ideal for enjoying a glass of good Salento olive oil 👍👍. The quality/price ratio is medium-high, but the ingredients are expensive and the dishes are worth it... Well done everyone, congratulations guys 🍷👏👏, a great evening with great background music 🎶, a relaxing atmosphere. We'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Welcoming place, impeccable service, and truly excellent food. Recommended for a quiet, quality dinner. The duck, in particular, is amazing; they prepare it even better than the French. Highly recommended.

Plus, if you book on The Fork for the à la carte dishes, you can get a 50% discount.

Elegance, attention to detail, and quality ingredients characterize all of Gioré's dishes. We dined for two, sampling appetizers, first courses, and second courses, both seafood and meat. The persimmon cheesecake is a must-try. Everything was delicious. The only negative I'll mention because it's part of the experience: unfortunately, we found a considerable amount of mussels in the seafood first course. An oversight that, however, doesn't detract from the restaurant's caliber.

A family birthday lunch at Giore in Aradeo, choosing the chef's menu. Carefully prepared, excellent quality dishes: from the mackerel fillet with mustard and mayo to the roasted octopus with stracciatella cheese, to the deconstructed millefeuille with Chantilly cream and pistachios. Attentive service, elegant and welcoming atmosphere. Medium-high quality, medium-high price, an absolutely positive experience.

Una vera esperienza sensoriale! In un ambiente elegante e curato, dall’illuminazione all’arredamento contribuiscono a creare un’atmosfera accogliente e raffinata. La cucina è il cuore pulsante del locale, e si sente. Ho avuto il piacere di assaggiare un po’ di piatti diversi, dal tagliolino cacio e pepe con tartare di gamberi rosa, seppia con crema di ceci, gli gnocchi con pescatrice e cozze, la millefoglie di spigola e infine il piatto che mi ha stupito di più: il polpo rosticciere, croccante e saporito, semplicemente perfetto. Il menù è creativo, vario, e lascia spazio alla curiosità. Si percepisce una vera passione per la cucina e un’identità ben definita. Anche il servizio è stato attento, gentile, mai invadente. Un’esperienza gastronomica da ricordare e sicuramente da ripetere. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca qualità, bellezza e gusto nel cuore del Salento.

04/01/2026: Overall, a positive experience, especially since we know the owners and the atmosphere is always welcoming. We had reserved a table for four, but at the last minute someone turned us down. We were given no problem, which is absolutely appreciated, and we still got a table for four despite sitting three. The assigned table, however, was in a rather small room, made even more crowded by the presence of a large table next to us. I understand that on certain evenings it's difficult to manage space, but perhaps a different table layout (smaller tables in intimate rooms and larger groups in larger rooms) could make the experience even more comfortable. In any case, the staff couldn't have done much more at that time. As for the food, we started with a decent appetizer of cured meats and cheeses: this time, I expected something more than on other occasions. There was only one type of cheese available, whereas in the past the selection was more varied; the cured meats were the classic appetizers. The taralli, both the traditional ones and the special raisin ones, were excellent, along with the homemade pizza dough breadsticks, truly excellent. Among the main courses, the horse veal with stewed onions was very good, tender and flavorful. The tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and shrimp tartare was good, but the truffle indicated on the dish was missing. Furthermore, the shrimp tartare, which should have been on the bottom according to the description, was served on top and in rather small quantities: nothing serious, but a noticeable detail. The daily menu (like the tripe) was interesting, but unfortunately it was sold out; however, the kindness of the owner and waiter deserves credit, who were very helpful in finding a solution. For dessert, we were served a separate menu, which was much appreciated, although several desserts were off-menu and not listed spontaneously: I only discovered them by asking. I tried the three-chocolate mousse and the berry cheesecake, both truly delicious. The final bill was around €73: a fair and reasonable value. Overall, a pleasant evening, with a few details that could be improved, but Osteria Vecchia Cantina remains a reliable choice and definitely worth a visit.
03/01/2026: A very nice place; in the morning it's a restaurant and in the evening it's also a pizzeria. The food is spectacular; the ingredients are fresh and of good quality. The waiters are kind and welcoming, so the service is excellent. The prices are low for what they offer. I recommend it if you want to spend a nice day or evening with friends, eating well and enjoying it.
