Giolica Home Restaurant e pizzeria In Prato

I had dinner with some friends at this restaurant on Friday evening and we had a really good time. We ordered the pizza menu, which includes an appetizer, but we weren't expecting so many different appetizers and such generous portions. We had a pleasant chat with the owner, who explained that most of the ingredients are home-grown, and you can taste how fresh and authentic they are, from the cured meats to the vegetables (I'm vegetarian, so there was plenty of choice for me, too). You can also dine outside, and next time we'll take advantage of that because there will be more of us :) I've read a lot of negative comments. Obviously, it depends on your experience, but those who come in large groups and complain about the wait times may not have fully understood the concept of the restaurant. You can't expect large dishes to be ready in 10 minutes, especially since it's a home restaurant with limited space and staff. The prices are quite fair for what the restaurant offers. Anyone who wants the treatment of a 5-star Michelin restaurant should go to a restaurant that truly delivers, rather than criticizing a business that never claimed to be one. It's important to do your research before going and choose to go with the right expectations; that's the minimum requirement. Anyway, we'll be back!

Super friendly atmosphere...good and plentiful food, truly homemade! Truly excellent value. If you have any special needs, they'll try to accommodate you, especially if you let them know in advance. The people are really nice and friendly, and it's even nice to stay and chat with them after dinner. Simone is a real charmer!! Definitely worth returning!

First experience in a Home restaurant, we had a great time, the owners were friendly and very welcoming. A little pricey but it was worth it.

I celebrated my son's 18th birthday this evening. There were 30 of us, some with celiac disease, some with intolerances, and some vegetarians. Our every wish was fulfilled with care and professionalism. Everything was excellent and perfectly managed.
