Chic location just outside Padua, a limited menu (a definite plus for me), wonderful grilled dishes. An impressive wine list. Always a pleasure to return.

And so, after a first and overall positive experience dating back to last summer, a few days ago we returned to Gino's and were once again generally satisfied 👍. Arriving at 8:30 pm 🕣, a little earlier than our reservation time 📱 (i.e. 8:45 pm), we were cordially greeted by a waiter 🧑🏻 who accompanied us to our table, this time set inside at the back of the room (in June we had dined on the veranda). Having already booked 📞 the Florentine steak 🥩 to ensure availability (last time we were "forced" to settle for an excellent rib-eye steak), we basically just browsed the wine list 📋 🍷, paying some attention. From this point of view, in fact, our first experience here wasn't a very happy one 🙄, since we ordered, moreover on the waiter's advice 🧔🏻, a wine 🍷 that we didn't like at all 👎. The latter, a French Syrah 🇫🇷 for a whopping 40 euros 💶 a bottle, unfortunately gave off a very strong smell of brine, which the waiter 🧔🏻 had warned us about in advance (I emphasize this for the sake of fairness), which in the long run, however, proved unbearable. I say "in the long run" because, during tasting, the smell seemed to me tolerable overall compared to the otherwise decent flavor. This time, however, again on the staff's suggestion, we opted for a Dolcetto D'Alba which, while pleasant, didn't thrill us (especially considering the 30 euros 💶 cost of the bottle). What I've said so far certainly attests to my complete ineptitude as a taster 😅 but, perhaps, also to a certain general "bad luck" linked to the fact of not being able to find the right wine, let's put it that way. For the rest, the "Florentine" 🥩 (a 1.2 kg cut) was impeccable 👌, as was the rib-eye steak we ordered with it (for three people it seemed like a good solution). To complete the order, we also had two liters of water 💧, grilled porcini/chanterelle mushrooms, potatoes 🥔 garnished with a sauce and snow peas sprinkled with cheese 🧀). The mushrooms were truly delicious 😋 and delicate, perhaps the best I've ever tasted, but the green beans were certainly worthy of note too. To conclude, three desserts (cheesecake 🍰, figs with ricotta ice cream, and grilled pineapple 🍍) and two coffees ☕ at the end of the meal, which were also undoubtedly good. Good value considering we spent a total of 222 euros 💶 (so 74 each). The staff 🧑🏻🧔🏻 were kind and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, thanks in part to the perfectly chosen theme. The bathrooms 🚾 were clean and tidy 🚽🧻🧴. For us, it's a guarantee, so I RECOMMEND IT 👍.

Excellent restaurant near Padua.
The cuisine is excellent, based on grilled food. The combinations are very refined and appetizing. Each dish is made with extreme care, even in the presentation. The menu features various meat options with some fish alternatives. The vegetables are highly recommended, to which the chefs give a delicious touch. The desserts are no exception. The selection of wines and spirits is vast, but the very knowledgeable staff is always available to guide you in your choice.
The decor is rustic. The open kitchen in the middle of the room is very nice.
The prices are in line with the quality of the ingredients and preparations.

The cuisine is really very well executed, there is little to say, the meat and vegetables are really very good. One of the few places in Padua where it is worth going.

I stopped at this little restaurant for a lunch break after being at the airport; interesting and very welcoming place, menu with few dishes, but very good and friendly staff.

Un menu che non è un menú, nel senso che è un elenco di piatti senza una vera e propria logica.
I vegetali sono di sicuro la cosa più buona, anche se il bbq sinceramente non si sente, a favore delle salse che sono davvero superlative.
I piatti son francamente buoni ma nulla di speciale.
La Fiorentina, che probabilmente arriva da un sottovuoto e non tagliata al momento da una lombata, è cotta in modo strano (forse un reverse?) e la consistenza è terribilmente dura.
Il servizio è quasi inesistente e del tutto informale nonostante i prezzi siano tutt’altro che a buon mercato.
Ottima la carta dei vini, ma grandissimi dubbi quando ordini al calice e non ti fanno vedere nemmeno la bottiglia. Preso un Macvin a fine pasto che mi ha lasciato grandi dubbi.
Dolci con prezzi da estorsione, seppur buoni.
Locale tanto in hype con un sacco di scenette simpatiche su Instagram con grande potenzialità ma che (a mio parere) dovrebbe concentrarsi di più sul cibo e il servizio e meno sulle scenette di Instagram.
