A wonderful place for a light, delicious breakfast at a great price. Everyone is very friendly, and my special thanks to Vanessa, who was always attentive and served us so well that we returned for breakfast the next day. We loved everything: the lovely place, the delicious food, and the wonderful service. Importantly, we speak Spanish and English, not Italian, so Vanessa also helped us by speaking Spanish.

We had lunch for two on a Sunday at the outdoor tables. They don't take reservations, but we didn't have a long wait! The menu was varied and interesting. We chose two first courses and two smoothies! Central location, pleasant lunch!

We came early at 8:20am on a Saturday. Had to wait to be served and the omelette and scrambled eggs were cold… I said that when paying and they just said: oh, I’m sorry. Coffee and smoothies were nice.

The restaurant is just steps from the Pantheon, which is probably why the prices are so high. The food is good, but the service could be better. We won't be returning.

Great place to grab a quick breakfast of pancakes before going to the Pantheon. It is right beside it. Very quick service and good food. I would like to thank our server who's name was Simone as best as I remember.

We stopped by on a Sunday and were able to easily get a seat. The smoked salmon was delicious but otherwise the food was rather mediocre. The service was ok but not great. Overall, it set the tone for our trip that breakfast out would not be a priority as it felt like what we got was not going to be worth the time or cost compared to simply doing a quick coffee and pastry/snack bar on our own.

15/11/2025: The dishes served at this restaurant are a true ode to Italian cuisine! We ordered the spaghetti carbonara (too bad I can't post a photo) and the gnocchi with four-cheese cream sauce, which were soft and had an impeccable consistency! The homemade tiramisu rounded out the experience. Bravo!
26/10/2025: I've been to Mercato 8 several times with two school groups I accompanied, and we've had a great time. The group menu is affordable and high-quality! Today I went back with my boyfriend: we ate divinely: amazing fresh fried potatoes cut into flaky sheets, pasta all'amatriciana and alla gricia (a rating of 10+), and a mouth-watering fresh tiramisu. The portions were generous and the price was absolutely fair. But all of this wouldn't have been so appreciated if it weren't for such a friendly and welcoming staff. I'm especially referring to Laura and Veronica: adorable! ❤️ Thanks also to Gianni! You feel right at home there! Overall, highly recommended!!

17/10/2025: Everything was delicious and excellent, the service was excellent, and the price was almost in line with what we ate. What really bothered us was that we ordered two portions of tagliolini with lobster, which they kindly split into four half portions, but on the bill it came out as four full-price portions. The excuse was that the lobster was the full portion of each dish, and so that drove up the price. So, I don't think we'll happily return after what happened.
01/10/2025: We had lunch at the restaurant twice. The place was elegant and welcoming. The staff was very kind and efficient. The food was excellent. If I may make a small comment, when I asked for some oil to add to the delicious fish, I was brought a small bottle of oil extracted from EU olives. For some reason, given the quality of the restaurant, I expected an EVOO extracted in Italy from Italian olives.
