Very interesting cuisine: Sicilian and African revisited. Hummus and vegetables: served hot, slightly spicy seasoning, extra. Fennel with ricotta and anchovies: interesting and whets the appetite. Sea couscous: delicious, fish cooked to perfection, much better than in Trapani, very well spiced. But really not enough semolina. The fact that you can order extra semolina suggests that the restaurant knows that the bill is not there. At €27 a plate we don’t really want to pay €8 more for a little semolina, even if it’s made from Sicilian durum wheat. Too bad because otherwise 5 stars without hesitation. Finally, a detail: eating with a knife and fork in a soup plate is really not practical, especially when the bones slide over the edge and fall into the semolina!

One of those little big surprises not to be missed. The dishes are all really well prepared (as well as delicious), the pleasant and relaxed environment makes everything even better. Highly recommended.

We came for the “slow food” or “farm to table” way of sourcing ingredients from local farms and purveyors + the Northern African inspired dishes. We had the best meal we’ve had in Sicily, and the Pollo Yayaa was the best chicken dish I’ve ever had. What impressed us even more was the social responsibility of this restaurant which we learned as we paid our bill. Many working in this restaurant are refugees, people with mental or physical disabilities, and offering work to those who for many are unemployable. Incredible restaurant, beautiful venue, and people. Highest recommendation.

We had the best meal. Starter, main courses and dessert all exquisite and innovative. Such a brilliant team behind the co-op and make you feel very well looked after. A unique setting too, atmospheric and spacious, and the owner is really passionate in an infectious way. A lotta care has gone into everything. Thank you so much!

We visited the restaurant on our last day in Agrigento. The food was wonderful. Waiters are very friendly. I recommend everyone who’s visiting Agrigento to try their unique menu at Ginger.
