Lucca's historic trattoria. My family and I have been going there for many years, and I must say it's an excellent restaurant in every way. Spectacular food, fair prices, and very friendly staff. I recommend booking a table in advance because it gets quite crowded and it's difficult to find a seat, especially in the summer.

We had dinner outside, but thanks to the "mushrooms" it was really very good, excellent food, very kind and helpful staff, recommended

Typical Tuscan trattoria in the center of Lucca. Seating both inside and outside in the square (the square is not very beautiful). Excellent food. Excellent meat. The place is small but very characteristic.

I must clarify that I don't like writing reviews. I'm passionate about food and I know that the restaurant business is a complicated one, and those who do it well deserve respect. Just as this place deserves respect, even praise. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid sitting in a touristy restaurant in Lucca. Gigi's is ideal for a quick lunch, although it's hard not to linger a while to savor the authenticity of his dishes. I personally tried the tripe and it was a real pleasure. I took a risk with the tiramisu, which was a surprise. The staff was courteous and the atmosphere relaxed, even though we were having lunch with customers on a work break. When business (legitimate and necessary) meets passion and respect for food, places like this are born.

Gigi Trattoria es un lugar encantador escondido de las concurridas zonas turísticas dentro de las murallas de la ciudad de Lucca, una gran opción si busca una comida más tranquila y relajada. Estábamos sentados afuera, y cuando llegó una lluvia inesperada y una tormenta de granizo, el personal cerró el espacio para mantener a todos secos, lo cual fue muy apreciado. El ambiente se mantuvo tranquilo y acogedor, incluso con el clima. Comenzamos con un par de antipasti: una ensalada de burratas y tomate con pesto, que era fresca y sabrosa, y un plato de crostini, uno de los cuales presentaba una misteriosa cobertura blanca que parecía sashimi de cola blanca en el pan. Esta es una fantástica trattoria escondida de las principales calles de Lucca. Tuvimos una gran bienvenida y a pesar de que llegamos alrededor de 45 minutos tarde debido a retrasos en nuestro tren. La comida era excelente y el personal muy amable y servicial
