A truly excellent experience. The portion of tordelli isn't very large, but the ragù is truly excellent! The peposo with polenta is also excellent.

Gigi's trattoria is a guarantee. The atmosphere is spectacular, rustic Tuscan, the food is both good and plentiful, the waiters are friendly and welcoming. It's perfect for an evening with friends or as a couple. A heartfelt thank you to Carmine for always hosting us. Manuel.

Everything was delicious. I must say and agree that this trattoria represents the true culture of Tuscan cuisine. The staff is super friendly, energetic, and never intrusive, courteous, and attentive. Exquisite local products and prepared just like grandmas used to do. I highly recommend it.

Delicious food, delicate meatballs, but all the flavors were evident. The sauce was excellent, and it was perfect when dipped in bread. The Chianti Classico wine was incredible, and the tortelli were even better, a real treat. You could really taste the meat in the ragù, and the meat inside the tortelli was very tender. Only the sauce with the meatballs had a bit too much oil. The price was high, but that's acceptable for a trattoria in the center of Lucca with this quality. The owner and waiters were very kind. Highly recommended!

10/01/2026: An architect from ATELIER OF ARCHITECTURE, in the area for tourism and leisure, visiting the beautiful Lucca, I had lunch at this characteristic restaurant. Good food, adequate portions, courteous and helpful staff. Average prices. .
06/01/2026: Fantastic lunch, high quality food and beautifully presented dishes, the staff was exceptional making us feel at home, pleasant atmosphere... We will definitely be back, highly recommended!
