01/08/2026: We were passing through Ostia, and on our third evening, they recommended Antico Traiano. The place is very unique, full of beautiful plants hanging everywhere. The effect is evocative... although, to be honest, while eating, you naturally wonder if the next thing to fall from the ceiling will be a leaf or a plant directly on your head! 😂 In the end, however, that wasn't the real danger: one of the plants was charmingly showering us with droplets directly on the table. An original irrigation system included in the service! We were served by a bearded and good-looking waiter, but unfortunately, friendliness wasn't included in the package. 😅 It's a shame, because until now, we've always found Romans extremely friendly and nice, so maybe we were just unlucky. As for the food, we ate decently. The only downside was the cacio e pepe, which was decidedly too salty. Pecorino cheese is already quite substantial: adding more salt risks turning pasta into a taste bud survival race. 😂 All in all, a decent experience, but between the plants showering on the table, the unsmiling waiter, and the "Dead Sea" version of cacio e pepe, we expected something more.

31/07/2026: My family and I were craving authentic Italian pizza and stumbled upon Antico Traiano. It was an absolute home run! The atmosphere is fantastic and the pizza is delicious. From our 2-year-old to the adults, everyone was thrilled. The service was warm and attentive, and the owner radiates an incredible energy that truly shapes the vibrant vibe of the place.
