We arrived from Catania at 2.30pm, with 4 hungry children. After several attempts in other places that either had already closed the lunch service or didn't have room for 8 people, we enter this place. We are immediately greeted cordially, the owner directs us to the room downstairs, where the guys who work there make us sit. What can I say, incredible service! The boy who served us, Andrea, was super professional as well as very nice, he gave us good advice on which courses to choose and made us laugh 4 times. The food was all delicious, chef Alessandro makes incredible fried porcini mushrooms. We also returned in the afternoon to taste their famous mandarin poncho (I don't know if it's spelled like that): a very good taste of life with a considerable alcohol content. I absolutely recommend this place.

Cozy place, friendly waiter. We took the particularly tasteless tagliatelle, the porcini mushrooms were not very tasty and didn't look like porcini mushrooms or at least they were a "porcini type" quality of mushrooms. Sila cannot be felt in those dishes. There is ample room for improvement. The place is unexpectedly very nice. A well renovated tavern. In my opinion the prices are excessive compared to the quality of the dishes.

During my recent visit to the Giadí restaurant, I was particularly impressed by Mr. Andrea's welcome and kindness. His warmth and professionalism made the evening truly enjoyable. Furthermore, the food was delicious, prepared with typical local products of excellent quality. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic, high-end dining experience.

09.10.2024, for work I had lunch in this restaurant which I found very welcoming and clean. The food is excellent and it is a place that I recommend to everyone.

Tastefully furnished place, owner and polite staff, available and prepared to advise on the choice of dishes, excellent quality food cooked very well, what can I say, go there, I recommend it.

Comfortable environment. Quick service. Food that could be improved: tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms that were not very tasty and decidedly undercooked, breaded and fried mushrooms that were too greasy. Poor grilled meat with plenty of rocket. With good raw materials... yes you can definitely do better!

It was the first time we were in this place, very kind staff, we took their hot sandwich complete with everything, potatoes, sausage, porcini mushrooms, we could smell Sila and it was also raining but we were indoors outside in this place welcoming.. If you want to eat an excellent sandwich you have to come to this restaurant.

La Locanda di Alia Ristorante

10/11/2024: Di tanto in tanto torniamo a pranzare-cenare, con piacere, a quello che oggi si chiama Ristorante Alia (ex ristorante La Locanda di Alia). Il ristorante ha avuto una stella Michelin fino al 2003: sì, ha perso quel glamour che lo rendeva uno dei migliori della Calabria, ma i piatti di chef Gaetano rimangono, oggi, buonissimi e di tradizione. Niente cotture sotto vuoto, sferificazioni o diavolerie varie, solo una buona tecnica scolastica, tanta attenzione per la qualità della materia prima e profumi dell'orto sempre (nota distintiva di questa cucina). Abbiamo pranzato rilassati, con un bicchiere di vino bianco calabrese per accompagnare. Piatti di pasta gustosissimi (Spaghetti con alici fresche, finocchi ,zucca, arancia e menta dell'orto - Sfoglia di pasta all'uovo ripiena di ricotta e verdurine, condita con semi di anice selvatico, parmigiano ed arancia - Gnocchetti con ragù di pesce) e secondi di carne e pesce molto buoni (Costolette di agnello marinate e scottate - Moscardini con le verdurine dell'orto - Gamberoni arrostiti con salsa dI ortaggi). Mi è dispiaciuto solo non trovare tutte costolette nel mio piatto di agnello: eccellente, ma c'era una sola costoletta e il resto erano parti diverse. In altre visite invece ho potuto godermele, le costolette, tutte, tutte! Materia prima ottima. Personale sempre gentile e cordiale. Conto in linea con il servizio e la qualità offerta. Torneremo!
07/11/2024: Last week my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at “Locanda di Alia” The b&b is family run: Mr. Pino with his niece Gaia, were fantastic and very helpful and answered all our questions, even advising us on what to visit! Not to mention GAIA's excellent BREAKFAST, ALL HOMEMADE! We stayed with great pleasure, highly recommended! We will definitely be back! Lucia and Pierpaolo
