Passing through the Sila park we stopped here for lunch: excellent first courses, excellent caciocavallo and potatoes. Very kind and friendly owner and lady. Widely recommended

We arrived from Catania at 2.30pm, with 4 hungry children. After several attempts in other places that either had already closed the lunch service or didn't have room for 8 people, we enter this place. We are immediately greeted cordially, the owner directs us to the room downstairs, where the guys who work there make us sit. What can I say, incredible service! The boy who served us, Andrea, was super professional as well as very nice, he gave us good advice on which courses to choose and made us laugh 4 times. The food was all delicious, chef Alessandro makes incredible fried porcini mushrooms. We also returned in the afternoon to taste their famous mandarin poncho (I don't know if it's spelled like that): a very good taste of life with a considerable alcohol content. I absolutely recommend this place.

Welcoming place, friendly waiter. We had the tagliatelle particularly tasteless, the porcini mushrooms were not very tasty and did not seem like porcini or at least they were a quality of mushrooms "like porcini". The Sila does not feel in those dishes. There is a lot of room for improvement. The place is unexpectedly very nice. A well renovated tavern. The prices in my opinion are excessive compared to the quality of the dishes.

During my recent visit to Giadí restaurant, I was particularly impressed by the welcome and kindness of Mr. Andrea. His warmth and professionalism made the evening truly enjoyable. In addition, the food was delicious, prepared with typical local products of excellent quality. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and high-level culinary experience.

06/02/2025: Espectacular comida en un espacio de lo más encantador comisariado con cariño por gente maravillosa. Me encantó todo, pero lo mejor fue charlar con la signora Daniela extremadamente conocedora y la divina sopa de verduras con huevo en la parte superior.
10/11/2024: Di tanto in tanto torniamo a pranzare-cenare, con piacere, a quello che oggi si chiama Ristorante Alia (ex ristorante La Locanda di Alia). Il ristorante ha avuto una stella Michelin fino al 2003: sì, ha perso quel glamour che lo rendeva uno dei migliori della Calabria, ma i piatti di chef Gaetano rimangono, oggi, buonissimi e di tradizione. Niente cotture sotto vuoto, sferificazioni o diavolerie varie, solo una buona tecnica scolastica, tanta attenzione per la qualità della materia prima e profumi dell'orto sempre (nota distintiva di questa cucina). Abbiamo pranzato rilassati, con un bicchiere di vino bianco calabrese per accompagnare. Piatti di pasta gustosissimi (Spaghetti con alici fresche, finocchi ,zucca, arancia e menta dell'orto - Sfoglia di pasta all'uovo ripiena di ricotta e verdurine, condita con semi di anice selvatico, parmigiano ed arancia - Gnocchetti con ragù di pesce) e secondi di carne e pesce molto buoni (Costolette di agnello marinate e scottate - Moscardini con le verdurine dell'orto - Gamberoni arrostiti con salsa dI ortaggi). Mi è dispiaciuto solo non trovare tutte costolette nel mio piatto di agnello: eccellente, ma c'era una sola costoletta e il resto erano parti diverse. In altre visite invece ho potuto godermele, le costolette, tutte, tutte! Materia prima ottima. Personale sempre gentile e cordiale. Conto in linea con il servizio e la qualità offerta. Torneremo!

02/05/2025: The kebab stands out for the quality of its taste, making it probably one of the best among the competition in terms of flavor. However, the portions are rather small: the sandwich appears small and is more reminiscent of a taco with kebab than a classic kebab sandwich. In summary, the flavor is undoubtedly appreciable, but it would be appropriate to review the portion sizes, considering that other places offer larger sandwiches. A further aspect to improve concerns the temperature inside the room, which is high, particularly near the counter where the kebab is prepared.
11/03/2025: Excellent kebab (perhaps not full like many others). The fried foods are of a higher quality than the competition.
