Ghinè Cambrì In Livorno

We were welcomed very well even though we hadn't booked, delicious tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, fillet with quality porcini mushrooms, we finished eating and remained at the table as if we were at home, definitely a restaurant to return to.

We often go to dinner here last time was in February. We returned last night, unfortunately, and noticed that the prices had gone up a bit too much (especially the wines). Anyway, the ingredients are excellent and the staff are very friendly.

The peasant appetizer was mediocre in appearance and taste: a tagliolini (a thin platter) topped with two slices of prosciutto and salami, a tiny wedge of pecorino, a burrata (a typical supermarket cheese), a crostini (a slice of melon), and a slice of melon...16 euros wasted. The second courses were certainly better in terms of meat quality, but still not entirely satisfying: while the tagliata with gorgonzola and roasted pear was tender and flavorful, the pork tenderloin was overcooked, resulting in a dry, slightly salty dish. Overall, the experience was barely adequate, so considering the higher-than-average prices in Livorno, the overall outcome would be a good idea. REPLY TO THE RESTAURANT'S RESPONSE: Thank you for your prompt response, but I'd like to point out that you're getting confused... I'm currently 600km from Livorno, so I couldn't have been to your place two hours ago. Moreover, when we were at your place three days ago, 1) there were not four of us, but two; 2) we didn't order tartare; 3) and, most importantly, in my opinion, I didn't object to the quantity of the appetizer, but rather to the quality for the price and the sloppy presentation, typical of a trattoria on the Provinciale. Steakhouse! Excellent!! The outdoor terrace is very pleasant and breezy in the evening! Very kind staff! The appetizers and first courses are very traditional and delicious!! 1.5 kg rib-eye steak for 3, dry-aged and cooked to perfection! Delicious desserts! Highly recommended! I'd go back!!

Piacevole scoperta, location molto bella e riservata, sala se vogliamo piccola,ma veramente curata, come la cucina peraltro , ottima la vastità dei vini. Personale molto cortese e preparato materie prima di qualità. Ritorneremo sicuramente.
