We travelled from London especially to dine at George Restaurant Napoli and certainly were not disappointed. Exceptionally elegant surroundings coupled with a fine view, we opted for the 7 course taster menu 'since 2018', and were taken on a wonderful culinary journey by the Head Chef and his very professional team. Excellent ingredients - all cooked, prepared and served with care, skill, expertise, intelligence and passion. The whole team compliment each other well and everybody works very hard at all times - we enjoyed watching and feeling the high level of concentration and calmness radiating from the professional kitchen. A special shout out and thank you to the Sommelier who looked after us so well throughout - balancing good conversation, offering a personal service that felt genuine whilst remaining professional at all times is not an easy task - impeccable English having worked in London previously - he is an asset to the establishment and really helped to contribute to our overall feeling of complete satisfaction. Very much hope to visit Napoli again in the future and would return in a heartbeat.

We visited George Restaurant in Naples to celebrate our first anniversary, and the experience was truly exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The food was sensational — beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, and thoughtfully explained course by course. The team’s knowledge was incredibly impressive; they were able to explain each dish in detail and in multiple languages, demonstrating real passion and expertise.
We spent over two hours enjoying the experience and never once felt rushed. Even after we had finished, we were invited onto the balcony where a member of staff kindly took some wonderful photographs of us — a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more memorable.
As a young couple dining at a two Michelin-star restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by how welcomed and comfortable we felt. There was absolutely no judgement — only warm, professional hospitality.
It was a truly unforgettable evening and one we often look back on with great fondness. Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary so special.

A truly wonderful experience in terms of service and ambiance: a professional, attentive, and well-paced team, demonstrating genuine mastery of hospitality in a demanding gastronomic setting. The work of the kitchen brigade and the front-of-house staff clearly deserves praise.
However, I was somewhat disappointed with the cuisine, considering the restaurant's two Michelin stars and the price of the menu (approximately €250 per person). Some dishes seemed to lack finesse and precision in their execution (particularly the pasta and risotto), with a sometimes rather rustic presentation. Overall, the food was good, but not up to the standard I've come to expect from top-tier two-Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, both in terms of refinement and truly exceptional ingredients.
Finally, the value for money seemed unbalanced. The prices are comparable to those of fine dining establishments in Monaco or Luxembourg, with a level of expectation and sophistication that I didn't quite find here. In Naples, one rightfully expects a top-tier culinary experience, but also consistency between the price and the overall experience.
In short: beautiful setting, impeccable service, excellent cuisine, but overall the experience fell short of my expectations for a 2-Michelin-starred restaurant at this price point.

Despite its recent two Michelin stars, my experience at George Restaurant was disappointing, mainly due to the food.
In an apparent attempt to be overly creative, the restaurant lost sight of flavor. Several dishes were difficult to enjoy and felt more conceptual than pleasurable. Ironically, the only highlights were the pasta and the bread.
The setting is beautiful and the service was fine, but expectations were high and the final result fell far short. One of those rare meals where you leave questioning your own palate rather than the chef — and that should never happen at this level.
