The food is very, very good, the waiters are very hasty; either you hurry or you skip your order. There was a small disagreement with the waiter, which was resolved quickly, but it wasn't pleasant. They insist on a maximum of two different entrees per table. Out of a table of 10 people, five had ordered the same dish; you can't expect everyone else to order the same, and we were a bit stubborn. The waiter called the "manager," I think, who, more politely than the waiter, resolved the issue by giving us what we wanted, but it wasn't nice at all; you have to argue about the menu choice. Otherwise, the food is really good.

Like all true Spaniards, we arrived for lunch at three in the afternoon. We were served, but the staff was clearly fatigued. The kitchen was also closed, so the menu was limited. Even so, they offered us fried fish and an octopus vinaigrette, both of which were very good. We'll come back another day, but at two.

Excellent, well-crafted ingredients, a good selection of wines as well. Friendly and helpful staff, and a view of the Taranto harbor. Highly recommended!

A truly positive experience. We booked after a Google search, and our expectations were not disappointed. Authentic flavors, super-fresh seafood, and a warm welcome make Trattoria Gente di Mare the ideal place for a stop in Taranto. Thanks to Giuseppe and the knowledgeable and competent staff. Top marks!

Posizionata sul lungomare di Taranto abbiamo trovato posto senza prenotare. Ottimo gli antipasti di crudo e il pesce alla brace. Ottima la qualità della materia prima prezzo assolutamente non esoso per quanto consumato. Cordialità nel servizio forse un po’ lentino, considerando il numero dei coperti.
