On our way back from Umbria we decide to stop in Abruzzo to eat some real porchetta as we didn't like it at all in Umbria, so we went to Genobile, and nothing guys...POETRY! SUCCULENT, TASTY, TENDER, CRISPY CRUST, ONE WORD: SPECTACULAR

The quintessence of Abruzzo. It is not uncommon to wander around the squares and roundabouts of Abruzzo and come across a mobile food stall that sells genuine pork and, above all, porchetta: lean pork boned and cooked in the oven after having filled the inside with a mixture of spices that are very aromatic as well as healthy, given that they are natural spices. The staff at the counter are always very expert and do their utmost to give the most varied and relevant advice to customers. Happy porchetta to everyone but don't forget to also have a few pieces of pork rind served.

We found competent, helpful and fast staff. We were told that 5 generations have followed the business. The products are of excellent quality. Various meats and cured meats of their own production. They also have local cheese but they don't make it themselves, they buy it from local producers. We also purchased the porchetta (it was still hot!) ......delicious. We need to go back
