Generator Venice In Venezia

Room facilities are good, but they take money for towels even. Location is not the best, but alright for a hostel.

The space is nice in the lobby, rooms smell moldy though and the wi-fi is 0.63mbs download and 4mb upload. Makes working really tough. Also in order to get to the main part of the city you have to use the water taxi or vaporetta city service (€9.50) each time. Adds up quickly.

This hostel has been one of my favorites and I have stayed in many! It is a bit far from everything that you may want to do while in Venice but the views are so worth it! There’s also a couple of places to eat nearby

One of the most chosen options for those who travel alone, good price, beautiful view, the only thing that it does not have a kitchen, so you must eat outside or in the hostel dining room or buy things made

- service is great with very nice people! - location is beautiful, close to a ferry to st marco square, very nice view - nice lounge, many young people and a good bar - the bedrooms in the dorms have a great temperature and the beds are kind of private wich is nice Unfortunately I have one complain about the bathrooms. There is a lot of black mold in the showers which is really not okay for your health. The last night I even booked a private room for 150 euros and even in that shower there was black mold...

The location is great, the interior looks great and the rooms are clean. But that gave me a false impression. First of all, there is no kitchen to prepare your food...not even a fridge which in my opinion should be a hostel standard. Then some of the staff are just plain unfriendly. And for some reason the entire atmosphere of the hostel is very cold. It's like people don't want to be bothered (both guests and staff) and again I only know the complete opposite from literally any other hostel I've been to. If you're traveling solo, this place might not be for you. Otherwise it's fine. I'll still try to avoid any generator hostels in the near future.

Location was great for our preference! Away from the busy crowds and tourists. Yes, it does require a taxi or bus/ferry ride. But it's so worth it. The interiors were super cute and fun. Neatly decorated. Lots of seating in the lobby area. The cafe in the morning always had a long line. There's only 1 person behind the counter so don't expect fast service. The ability to buy 48hr bus/ferry tickets at the hotel was super helpful. They also had an ATM and a few vending machines for toiletries, drinks, and snacks. Our room (private double bed with bathroom) was great. Spacious and comfortable. The only issue was that we could hear our across the hall neighbors being a little too loud. Overall, a great experience at the Generator and would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the tourist crowds while staying on a budget.

Very nice staff. The rooms had air condition, so you can sleep good even at 30 degrees. Very recommended

The location and premises were better than expected! We reserved a deluxe king, the A/C worked perfectly, the toilet was very spacious and the view could not be better! Cleanliness also 10/10. We had no time to eat much there but the croissant in the morning and the drinks from the bar were good as expected, special thanks to Alberto in the reception!! He was extremely helpful with all the info and recommendations and always smiling made us feel very welcome 🙏🏼

I chose Generator Venice to attend the Redentore fireworks and I was pleasantly surprised. The location is excellent, to admire the show. The atmosphere is young and lively, perfect for those looking for a unique experience. The possibility of staying in a hostel allowed me to enjoy the city without the stress of returning. I recommend it to all those who want to experience Venice in an authentic way
