A synesthetic destination. The senses of taste, sight, smell, and hearing merge thanks to the Maestro's passion and skill. I waited an hour before opening to enjoy the full range of flavors on offer. The Maestro recommended this pairing: crema seria, pistachio, blackberry, and mara de bois. To top it off, a fig granita. It's worth the wait to experience this!

There's a long line for gelato that isn't even that good. Plus, once it opens, it's only open for an hour. I understand it's a limited-edition shop, but by the time I get there, they've already sold out. The "delicious gelato" they're talking about isn't really that good; it only seems that way because it's only open for a short time.

The 5 stars are just a formality; the gelato is simply perfect, with just a few flavors, but expertly crafted. It's a natural gelato, free from the usual industrial crap, leaving a clean palate and not weighing down, unlike anything I've ever tasted in my life, despite the large quantity I've eaten. Kudos also for the prices, which are in line with other gelato shops, but with the difference of using non-industrial ingredients. Thanks to the gelato maker, who was truly professional and also kind enough to chat with us at the end of the day and recommend some places to dine. If you happen to be in Bergamo during the opening season, it's a place worth the trip. See you next time!

Bergamo excellence, pure quality! Gelato Contadino is a true destination for gelato lovers. Vittorio's philosophy is absolute freshness, and it shows: the product is creamy, dense, and the flavors are intense and natural. Every flavor is a discovery. The seasonal ones are a must-try, like the incredible biligöcc (smoked chestnuts, an ode to the region) and the elegant persimmon sorbet. The line is definitely worth waiting for: the wait is well worth it for the unique quality and the passion with which Vittorio explains and serves his product. The best gelato in town!!!

Nice to meet you, I'm Michael. Considered The Psychopath. Why? Cooler bag on my shoulder, 120 km round trip for an ice cream. Well, yes...it's me, but not for an ice cream! But for a work of art!!! Like those traveling to Paris for the Mona Lisa, I went to Vittorio Baldelli. An eclectic, passionate guy, dedicated to his work. The memory I will carry in my heart will be the hours in the car, the minutes waiting at the toll booth and in line to get his product. But above all, the enthusiasm in my family's eyes when they tasted the Mona Lisa from Bergamo! Don't believe me? Aren't you psychopaths like me? Damn better... I'll have less waiting in line next time!!! Congratulations, Vittorio! Great craftsman 🤝

If you're looking for top-quality gelato, you've come to the right place. This isn't just any gelato; it's an explosion of flavor. The freshness is the first thing you notice, with an incredible creaminess and vibrant colors that hint at the deliciousness of each bite. You can feel the passion in every detail, from the way the owner, a cheerful and kind person, explains the various flavors to the care with which he prepares them. His cheerfulness is contagious and makes the experience even more special. Each flavor is a unique creation, and the fact that they vary with the season is the icing on the cake. The gelato is produced in limited quantities, and once it's sold out, the shop closes. This philosophy makes the visit a true experience: you have to accept the risk of finding it closed and not complain about the long waits, because good, high-quality products are limited and sought after. I didn't take photos, both because they didn't do justice to its beauty and deliciousness, and because it's an experience to be fully enjoyed. Probably the best ice cream I've ever eaten!

We left Verona specifically to try this gelato. We arrived at 10:30 a.m., an hour and a half before opening, precisely because I'd seen the photos of the endless lines. I must say I'd already been following this gelato shop's Instagram page and had heard about it in various YouTube videos. The guy really surprised me! Passionate about his work, incredibly humble, very kind, and helpful with everyone! He "blew us away" with the flavors we'd chosen to put in the tubs, but we happily followed his advice on the best pairings. He explained the ingredients in detail. In addition to the tubs, we also got two cups and a granita (the latter was a gift, along with a small bottle of water). The flavors are hard to describe; you have to try them! The pistachio (the best in Italy according to Gambero Rosso) is extraordinary, bursting with pistachios! The same goes for the almond granita. The salted caramel is a whole different beast from the caramels at other gelato shops! Not to mention his Fragola (Mara de Bois), which is truly the wild strawberry you eat in the mountains. Indescribable! What can I say... You have to try it at least once in your life! And to all those who say "he talks too much," I'd like to say: great, stay home, so you can give others the chance to try his gelato.

Superior quality gelato, 100% natural. The 40-minute wait in line was worth it; it was expected; I had nothing else to do. Unfortunately, some flavors were sold out, but this also confirms the quality of the product (don't eat leftovers from previous days or industrial products removed from the plastic tub). The challenge now is to try the pistachio flavor, made with pistachios grown exclusively for Vittorio. I'm not from Bergamo, but I'll make it!

Ristorante Antica Locanda

21/09/2025: In the center of town! Since the hotel is in a restricted traffic zone, they pointed us to a free parking lot a 5-minute walk away. The town is beautiful, with its planetarium clock and frescoes, including the Danse Macabre. Easy trails start from the center. The hotel is welcoming. It also serves as a restaurant! The room is small but comfortable, with a large bathroom. My partner and I only stayed for one night. The breakfast buffet was simple. They also have gluten-free options upon request, but unfortunately, they only serve packaged food!
19/09/2025: Great accommodation and restaurant! Our room was spotlessly clean and stylishly furnished. Highly recommended!

La Malga Osteria

12/11/2025: The atmosphere mimics a mountain restaurant, with vintage furnishings. Excellent food. The menu features typical local dishes. Fast service. Very friendly and approachable staff. A small note about the house wine: I've found better.
09/11/2025: A nice mountain hut-like place...the staff is very friendly and the prices are average. The first courses are, in my opinion, too small in terms of quantity, while the second courses are average.
