After spending over a week searching for truly great gelato in Sardegna — from Budoni to Olbia,San Teodoro to Tanaunella — we finally struck gold at Vili Gelato in Olbia. We were honestly amazed. This place is everything you’d want from a gelateria and more.
We arrived quite late in the evening, and luckily, it wasn’t too crowded. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, and the staff? Absolutely wonderful — some of the friendliest we’ve ever encountered. Warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do.
We tried four different cups of gelato and every single one of them was delicious. The texture was smooth and velvety, and the flavors were perfectly balanced — rich and authentic without being overly sweet. That was one of the things we appreciated most: unlike many other places where the gelato was just sweet with no real flavor, here you could taste the real ingredients in every spoonful.
The variety they offer is impressive, and honestly, we’d recommend everything on the menu. You can’t go wrong here. Whether you’re a classic vanilla-and-chocolate fan or into more creative flavors, Vili delivers on every front.
We truly can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re in Olbia — or anywhere nearby — Vili Gelato is absolutely worth the trip. It was, without a doubt, the best gelato we had in all of Sardegna.
