16/04/2025: My Italian husband chose it out of a few options, and it was the perfect place to go for dinner. We shared a mix of bruschette, which was very tasty with olive pate, artichoke pate, mushrooms and tomatoes. I am vegetarian, so I went for a pici all' aglione, which was excellent. My husband took the ravioli and he almost licked the plate. It's a crime in Italy to leave the sauce on the plate, do scarpetta. As the name of the place indicates, they do specialize in meat, but there were also options for vegetarians. The atmosphere was very elegant and cozy, especially thanks to the assistant waiter, he was very kind and attentive and he was serving our table with such elegance and grace.
14/04/2025: I had lunch here today with my mother and sister. The food was very tasty and the pasta was fresh. The prices for everything on the menu are completely reasonable and the pasta dishes cost around €12-14. The staff was very, very nice and recommended dishes to us that were very tasty. It is the perfect place to take a stroll through San Giminiano. 100% recommendation.

La Nuova Pasticceria

16/01/2025: A few steps from Piazza del Campo is a pastry shop that we discovered many years ago, recommended by locals. And never has advice been more well placed... ricciarelli are simply unattainable! Obviously the other typical Sienese desserts are also very good. Every time we pass through Siena we don't leave without first stocking up on some delicacies.
08/01/2025: Ii ricciarelli sono eccezionali, ma quel che è veramente fuoriclasse è il pampepato, o panforte nero. Talmente speziato che il dolce quasi non si sente, e infatti va accompagnato con un rosso robusto, un Chianti, non con il vino dolce. Un sapore che arriva direttamente dal medioevo. (Da chiedersi come facciano a venderlo in questa epoca di sapori tenui e boccucce delicate). Bravissimi, continuate così, e soprattutto NON INGENTILITELO.
