I've tasted gelato at the best gelato shops in Turin. I personally think Miretti's gelato is the best, for its flavor, palatability, and authenticity. I recommended it to a friend of mine from Bari, who told me that he and his entire family were pleasantly surprised; it matched everything I'd described. I've been coming to Miretti's for 30 years, and I'm very critical of their desserts and gelato.

I read the reviews and was shocked. The prices aren't high, considering you're getting gelato at an award-winning establishment in a historic location in Turin. You'll find the same prices at other ice cream shops that only do more marketing outside, and takeaway options. Prices are absolutely competitive, if not below average. Yesterday I got a cup of two flavors for €3.50 in Collegno, here for €3 in the center of Turin, and quality you can't imagine. My son and I visited the lab below, all the primary ingredients are locally sourced, always made the same day. Other ice cream shops deliver pre-made bags to be mixed with milk... please inquire before commenting. It breaks my heart.

The dairy flavors are very good. The dairy-free (dark) flavors are less so. The staff isn't very friendly; they put me off eating ice cream.
