Delicious gelato located in between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The cherry was among the best we had anywhere, and they had a delicious tiramisu flavor.

The cannoli was simply delicious. There's only one flavor option. It's huge! It cost 3 euros.

Very good ice cream, especially lemon and spagnola. A bit from the crowds of the Fontana do Trevi so less people.

A great place, the tiramisu is cheap and very good, it's a thousand times better than any famous place, and the ice cream is a little less creamy but very good too.

Pippo lo Sgobbone

22/05/2026: Off the beaten tourist track, nestled in the elegant tranquility of the Flaminio neighborhood, Hostaria Lo Sgobbone (affectionately known to longtime patrons as "Pippo's" creature) represents a true journey back in time. In an era when Rome's restaurant scene is increasingly succumbing to the lure of modernism and forced reinterpretations, this establishment stands as the guardian of a gastronomic memory we thought lost, establishing itself as an authentic bastion of Roman home cooking. The setting evokes the atmosphere of the 1970s with disarming honesty. The intimate rooms, free from ephemeral design, are imbued with a conviviality from another era, where closely spaced tables foster the typical chatter of Sunday family lunches. There's no room for show: aesthetics over substance reigns supreme here, an ideal refuge for the gourmet seeking authentic flavor and the discreet charm of Rome's bygone days, far from the theaters of the historic center. The service is imbued with that "Roman savoir faire" that combines proud, down-to-earth dignity with genuine familiarity. Managed with a firm and warm approach by the women of the family, the staff welcomes guests without the affectations of hotel dining, but rather with the spontaneity of old-fashioned innkeepers. Often, the menu gives way to oral narration of the day's specials: a frank approach, free of flattery, that immediately establishes a pact of trust based on respect for the ingredients and the diner. The culinary offerings reveal themselves to be a triumph of pure tradition, executed with a homely touch that enhances flavor without ever becoming overly heavy. The first courses are a testament to balance, featuring traditional pasta shapes topped with timeless sauces. It's in the main courses, however, that the greatest devotion to Lazio cuisine is expressed. The Saltimbocca alla Romana is masterful in its delicacy: perfectly tender slices of veal, where the savory flavor of the pork tenderloin blends with the aromatic notes of sage in a velvety, seamless sauce. Also worthy of honor are the seasonal side dishes and homemade pastas, which evoke the aromas of Roman Sundays of old. Finally, the house dessert is sumptuous, prepared according to the canons of the most authentic home-cooked tradition. Ultimately, Hostaria Lo Sgobbone doesn't seek avant-garde critical acclaim or inclusion in glossy guides. Its value lies in its proud and honest assertion of a culinary identity that places human warmth and philological respect for traditional recipes at its core. A precious address for anyone wishing to rediscover what it means, in the most noble and popular sense, to sit at the table Roman style.
21/05/2026: Eating Roman food is a tradition, and this restaurant does everything it can to make it unforgettable! The history of Northern Rome has always been there.

Giggetto al portico d'Ottavia

16/05/2026: Great pizzeria! Good flavors on the pasta, and excellent dessert!
13/05/2026: A warm and welcoming place, professional staff, and excellent cuisine offering a menu for all tastes: traditional dishes as well as pizza and burgers, all with an "Al Portico" touch! A pleasant place to spend an evening or Sunday lunch with family or friends, I highly recommend it!
