During my stay in Italy, I visited several cities and had gelato in all of them. I can truly say that this is the best gelateria in Italy.

Best ice cream in town (tested in comparison: dark chocolate and pistachio) and very friendly service. The price is also very good (piccolo with 2 varieties for €2.80). Definitely try it out, it's definitely worth a detour :-)

Hostaria di Pantaneto 55 Siena

08/01/2025: Since we discovered it, we can't do without it. As soon as we are in Siena we have lunch at this Hostaria. Obviously we don't miss the Carbonara (really good) but also the fried pecorino with honey or the platter of both pecorino and cold cuts. Overall, highly recommended!
05/01/2025: Humble and typical place, colorful and small but very welcoming, the host is really kind and helpful. Fantastic raw materials!

01/12/2024: Beautiful location and good Tuscan food. My partner is gluten free and they were able to accommodate her without issue.
10/11/2024: An excellent restaurant in a panoramic position on the Tuscan hills near Poggibonsi. Prices are certainly not cheap but for Tuscany they are average. The village is also very interesting ... also for the wild boars that were looking for roots and that roamed in large numbers in the surrounding area. Anyway, worth coming back....
