The gelato is delicious. If you go on the weekend, you'll have to wait a while because the gelato is excellent. A must-try if you're in the area.

The Best! Excellent gelato! Many special vegan varieties. Some even sugar-free. Nice place with a relatively large seating area.

I agree with the reviews on this forum: the ice cream is fantastic, and the atmosphere is also pleasant. There's a large selection, including some unusual flavors. It's just a shame you can't order espresso with your ice cream. Sometimes you have to wait in line. There are a few parking spaces in front of the ice cream shop.

Very small gelato for what you pay. Average flavor. I'm replying to the owner who replied: It was a Sunday and it was busy, which means I had several in front of me and all the gelatos were small, which means it's company policy. You guys need to teach your girls to make more normal-sized gelatos. Here in Lucca, €4.50 would have been triple the price!

Go here for the gelato rather than the view but boy is it worth the trip. My tip would be to try some of their more unusual (savoury) flavours which of course are all made on the premises.

L'Angolo Ristorante & Pizzeria

20/03/2026: Recommended to us by staff at a local winery, we first appreciated the approach, which is summed up in the menu's introduction (see photo). Everything was good, with the artichoke steamed in apple cider vinegar being exceptional (according to those who ate it). We appreciated the value for money. Recommended.
19/03/2026: Excellent value for money, intimate atmosphere. I recommend reviewing the information found on Google: DOGS NOT ALLOWED! Contrary to what is written.
