gay-Odin In Napoli

Would you believe me if I told you I'm able to resist gelato 🍨? And that I'm able to watch 👀 my son eat gelato without having some myself? 🤔 Probably not right? 😅 Well, I actually am! 😁 After lunch the other day in Napoli 🇮🇹, I bought my son an ice cream cone from Gay-Odin (@gayodin1894) and I didn't have any myself. 😇 But I confess that it was because I was planning on having another type of dessert! 😝 So I bought him this "small" cone and I only tried the pistachio scoop (As my son tends to order flavors I don't like, besides pistachio 🙄). It was very good, slightly too sweet and too creamy for me. But my son enjoyed it, and that's what matters. 👍 It's not appreciable on the pic, but the portion was large, especially taking into account that this was the small cone (2️⃣ flavors) and we only paid €2.5 for it. Plus, as often in Italy 🇮🇹 (and NEVER in the rest of the world 😤), whipped cream was free. 🙏 Quality & taste: 8/10 Quantities: 9/10 Atmosphere: n/a Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 9/10 Service: 8/10 How I felt afterwards: 8/10

Great chocolate selection, very traditional to eat in Napoli, must go.

Gay-Odin is a historic brand known in Naples, famous mainly for its chocolate products. In the historic center of Naples, on Via Benedetto Croce, there is one of the brand's points where ice cream in various flavors is available. This address is a must-visit. The ice cream is delicious, I haven't eaten better anywhere. I tried several flavors - I especially recommend chocolate with sweet additions, for example rum.

Small but well-stocked shop, in fact I found everything I wanted. The sales assistant who followed us seemed annoyed by the fact that we were there to buy, yet we were polite and courteous in our requests. Truly incomprehensible attitude on the part of workers who are only there for that.

The taste is rich! The photo shows Nio Choco Latte(?) and Pistachio Salento. The second is stracciatella and pistachio. The color of the one with Salento and the one without it were different, but both were delicious. As expected from Italian gelato, the ingredients were used very well. Gelato with a sense of craftsmanship. Really delicious. All four I tried were delicious. The lady is a bit chic. But it was so delicious that I went twice. It's at the entrance to Spaka Naples, so it's perfect to buy one and then look around.

Local chocolate and also with an office in Rome, which is why it aroused my curiosity. The lady who served us was quite annoyed and not very kind honestly, so that's a minus. We bought some pralines and extra dark chocolate. The pralines were huge and quite good (the liqueur one was generously filled with liqueur); I wasn't crazy about the chocolate bar. It is certainly a quality chocolate, however it is a chocolate that I find very "raw", it leaves a dusty sensation in the mouth, almost as if I were eating cocoa powder. I rather prefer a finer chocolate that melts in your mouth. The bar is also too thick, it looks like gourmet chocolate.
