We've been guests at the Schwarzer Adler countless times since 2009 and have never had a single negative experience. The food is always perfect and delicious, the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy both inside and out, and when you're served by Georg himself, everything is just right 😊

Restaurant review: We stopped at the Adler on our way from Merano to Appiano. We hadn't made a reservation, but that wasn't a problem. Lovely dining room, very good and friendly service. The food was excellent. The Linzer torte for dessert was divine.

If you want to eat well in a beautiful setting, the Schwarzer Adler is the place for you. Great service, wonderful dishes, lovingly prepared. And the beer garden under the wine...a dream. The prices are reasonable and completely reasonable for the quality served.

Excellent cuisine. Superbly beautiful garden. We had carpaccio with apricots and Parmesan, barley risotto with dates, goat cheese, and prunes, and plated beef with boiled potatoes and green sauce. 👌

12/12/2025: I stayed at this hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. Beautiful location, welcoming and elegant while retaining its traditional features, yet modern. Beautiful rooms, spacious and welcoming, with attention to every detail. A full breakfast catered to every need, with authentic products. Friendly and attentive staff. The spa is available with a fantastic heated outdoor pool. I highly recommend it.

04/01/2026: After many years, we returned to this wonderful restaurant, steeped in history, where attention to detail is still maintained and where everyone welcomes you with extreme kindness and, above all, a smile. We found the same elegant atmosphere and dishes that were more modern in presentation, yet still as delicious as we remembered. In particular, the dumplings with beef ragù and mountain cheese and the roasted Barbarie duck breast with braised carrot, mashed potatoes, and elderberry vinegar (photo) were truly exceptional! The space between the tables allows for good privacy and easy access for children and strollers. Finally, a truly rare bonus: each table has its own coat rack.
