A slightly different hotel...where you can relax and unwind. Located in a place of pilgrimage, you can feel the atmosphere of earlier days. So it is obvious that the rooms do not have a television. The hosts put a lot of effort into the food to ensure that the guests have a good time. There is also a sauna and you get an extra sauna bag for that. A bus stop is a few meters away so you can do without the car. Great hiking routes can be started from here.

“Zum Hirschen” is a fantastic hotel where we relaxed very well. “Zum Hirschen” is a family business that is run with great passion for detail (communication, cuisine, atmosphere and architecture). Edith and Mirko are always available and always friendly, helpful and they know the area very well and give lots of tips. From a culinary point of view, “Zum Hirschen” impresses with an outstanding concept (regional, wild herbs, Hildegard von Bingen), the wine list is excellent (many wines from South Tyrol and Veneto). Be sure to book half board! We hiked straight from the house every day and didn't move the car for a week. But Merano and Bolzano can generally be reached quickly. The border between South Tyrol and Veneto is only a few kilometers south, the towns (St. Felix and Fondo) offer an exciting contrast. Conclusion: A special place! We would like to come again!

Great hotel with stylishly furnished rooms, absolutely excellent cuisine and very pleasant, familiar and personal hotel management and service. There are also great, worthwhile extras that can be booked (herbal course, singing bowl massage, visit to the bacon cellar). We will come back in any case!

Very nice hotel. Idyllically located. Absolutely quiet and dignified. The loving and friendly staff deserves special mention. The rooms are very nice and spacious. We were able to spend three nights here on our annual motorcycle tour and were more than satisfied. Anyone who likes to eat and drink well will get their money's worth here. I knew it was a special place, I arrived ready to appreciate everything proposed. From the welcome, the cleanliness, the always different, balanced breakfasts, the gourmet dinners every evening a surprise when you go to the table. Nice excursions, sauna, in short, perfect. The proximity of the Sanctuary has its effect in this small cluster of houses, where you can breathe peace and tranquility. To return

For us, as we have known the hotel for many years, we are already looking forward to it. It is a holiday home where everything is just right for us. The special meals, their sophisticated preparations always with love for local ingredients. The pleasant atmosphere in the house is also chic and the comfort of the facilities. Just as the hotelier family is of course always open and professional to special requests and questions, even late in the evening. Everything really works for us, it couldn't be better.

Just awesome. Peace, relaxation and great food

A place of peace, slow food practiced and incredibly tasty, well-balanced portions, an explosion in taste, simply amazing. The building itself is a masterpiece of renovation. The level of modernity and durability is really successful. Conclusion: I have never experienced such excellent cuisine in such a well-rounded, closed environment. Thank you for the nice hospitality. The hotel was an excellent base for our multi-day motorcycle tour to the Dolomites and Trentino. Half board was a good choice, breakfast and dinner were top notch. The motorcycles were dry under the roof. If we are in the area again at some point, then definitely at the "GASTHOF ZUM HIRSCHEN" Many thanks to the entire team. Best regards Peter
