The location only gets 4 points – we were briefly overwhelmed by the crowds upon our arrival (at the high point of Merano, coming from the Nasereith mountain hut). We then made our way to the Mutkopf hut (without backpacks – wonderful!), enjoyed a delicious buttermilk there, and then returned – all the day-trippers were back in the valley... and then the evening here was truly lovely! The food was soooo delicious, the wine was delicious, the hosts were super friendly and entertaining, and the breakfast was plentiful and good. We slept in the dormitory in the basement; the two showers there were great – so everything worked out really well!

Thank you so much for the wonderful time! Max is an excellent host! His very open and friendly manner made the stay unique. We were there with two families, including children. The location of the inn is a dream. It's especially wonderful when only the overnight guests are left after 7 p.m., so you can enjoy the peace and quiet and unwind. The food is delicious and plentiful! The wine selection is excellent! Only the layout of the rooms, which is of course very individual, and the lack of soundproofing could be improved. Das Berggasthaus war mehrfacher Endpunkt unserer Wandertouren. Uns ist die natürliche Freundlichkeit des Teams aufgefallen und natürlich auch die tolle Speisekarte. Und nicht unerwähnt darf der selbstgeräucherte Speck bleiben: Wunderbar, ein echter Genuss!

Auf 1500m Höhe, nur mit der Seilbahn zu erreichen, ist der der Gasthof toll gelegen mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf Dorf Tirol, Meran und das gesamte Tal mit den umliegenden Bergen. Das Team der „ Hochmuth“ gibt jedem Gast das Gefühl, etwas Besonderes zu sein. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und gut ausgestattet.
