Gallo Bianco In Scalea

This place is located inside Scalea. If you come from Maratea and traffic permits, I recommend arriving at the Scalea roundabout and going up towards the hinterland while coming from San Nicola Arcella you will find many internal streets. The restaurant has an internal car park suitable for the number of tables. The menu changes daily so the dishes of the day will not be indicated but for transparency only the costs of the courses will be shown, really modest prices for how you eat. A dinner for two people with starter, first course with goat sauce and a slice of meat with a bottle of water €30 total. The food is plentiful and it is home-style cooking and very good. The owner is very welcoming but above all I was shocked by her sincerity as, wanting a dessert, she informed me of the presence of a chocolate cake that she had bought, something that surely many would not have added to this detail. I highly recommend this trattoria for anyone who wants to eat typical dishes. The only "flaw" is the starter is only 1 mixed plate of cured meats, fried cheeses, very good but not as rich as in other trattorias. I will definitely come back because it deserves it

The atmosphere and food are great. Angela, who took care of us, hosted us in a very warm and friendly manner. I loved the lamb pasta with tripe sauce. I can't find words to describe the calmness of the place and its prices. I think this is the best stop we stopped to eat during our ten-day trip to Italy. Place surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Congratulations to Angela, who carefully prepares simple but tasty, genuine and abundant dishes for her customers in the kitchen, as we do in the south. We enjoyed a generous appetizer, fusilli with meat sauce and a succulent stew, finishing with a delicious Nutella crepes!!! Good luck with everything and thanks for the courtesy and sweetness of the owner. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful family run restaurant! The hosts were helpful and friendly. The fusili al ragu di capra was fantastic! Portions were generous and overall it was a lovely evening out. Highly recommended!

A PLACE WHERE YOU LEAVE YOUR HEART. 💖 My boyfriend Francesco and I were on holiday in Scalea for a week and upon our arrival we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and what a lovely chance. Familiar and welcoming location. Very accessible prices and really too honest for what they offer. We ate here for almost the entire week because it was difficult to do without it. Excellent quality products and TRULY 0 KM! You have the opportunity to admire the greenhouses nearby (we also picked a cherry tomato and ate there at the moment, a pleasure.) The food? I wouldn't even know where to start. Everything is too exaggeratedly good starting from the starter! Accompanying everything is his daughter Martina, sweet as sugar, the owner Francesco always smiling and joking and his wife Angela who with her warm and welcoming smile takes care of every single customer and always tries to satisfy every need❤️ What to say? It feels at home! We laugh, we joke, we drink and we eat! Sometimes we dance bure!🤣 Unforgettable. We can't wait to return because for us, they represent the beautiful Calabria, the one we like!
