Fuori Rotta In Riomaggiore

Food was good... but very small portions.....great location away from the main drag. But massive draw back the music.... Jimmy Hendrix... Beatles. We come to italy for ITALY. Don't play for tourists.. We are in italy and love that ambience. So would love that music. Sorry for the negative review but honestly if you want just annoying tourists...do that :(

Very good address with local products

It was an incredible experience, everything was delicious. I had a mushroom mousse with egg inside and cocoa pappardelle with sheep ragù, each dish better than the last. The location is incredible, with a breathtaking view from the terrace, from which you can see the entire town. The staff were extremely kind and the service was very fast and friendly.

The restaurant is slightly elevated, allowing for some fresh air. Quiet surroundings and good food.

A hidden gem that restored our faith in hospitality. After several disappointments with the hospitality scene in Cinque Terre, we stumbled upon this place completely by chance. We weren’t expecting much — frankly, most places around here treated guests more like a nuisance than a welcome presence. But this spot turned out to be the heartwarming exception. On our first night, we stopped in for just a glass of wine. That’s all. And yet, the welcome we received was so kind, so genuine, that we immediately felt at ease. The staff took time to recommend truly lovely wines, spoke to us with warmth, and didn’t make us feel “lesser” for not ordering a full meal. The view of the sea was beautiful, and even though our check was small, we were treated with care and sincerity. The next evening, we returned — again, just for drinks — and decided to trust the staff’s recommendations, including a bottle of wine chosen for us. We had more wonderful small talk with the team (perhaps owners?), and the evening again felt easy, warm, and intimate. On our final night in Riomaggiore, we came for a proper dinner. By then they already recognized us and welcomed us like friends. We ordered starters, mains, dessert, local wine and got to try Sciacchetrà, the region’s iconic passito. With each course came thoughtful explanations, gentle suggestions, and a sense of genuine pride in their food and culture. It didn’t feel like a tourist restaurant at all, it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. Like we belonged. That kind of atmosphere is rare anywhere and especially in a place so overtouristed it can lose its soul. Here the soul is very much alive. Yes, it might be a little on the pricey side, but the experience…Absolutely worth it. Especially compared to the rushed, soulless service elsewhere.

L’endroit est très agréable que ce soit en terrasse ou à l’intérieur, le personnel est souriant et compétent mais cela ne suffit pas pour être totalement satisfait. Les plats sont bons mais trop chers pour la quantité, nous avions pris, pour mon mari, le mouton servi avec 4 petits morceaux de pommes de terre….bon plat mais trop chiche et moi le poisson accompagné d’une endive !! Au mois de mai alors qu’il y a plein de légumes de saison ….facturé 27 euros ! Trop cher ! Dommage ça avait a l’air prometteur…

Comida increíble y una hermosa ubicación sobre la ciudad de Riomaggiore. La comida y 🍷 vino eran todos increíbles y el servicio era de primera categoría. ¡Es realmente una experiencia mucho mejor cenar aquí que comer en la ciudad!
