Home style classic trattoria, they’re hard to find this days, in the small village of Cavallino, they serve comfort food, mostly meat and veggies based, cheese and fried. The antipasti are an absolute must and their horse meat is just fantastic. Portions are more than generous and price is extremely competitive. The terrace is under a bit wonderful nut tree as the name suggests, the service is how you would expect, warm and informal, making it a perfect trattoria experience in Salento. A gem!

We dined in this trattoria with traditional flavors for an informal dinner, with very affordable prices and exquisite service. The dishes are those of the Apulian tradition, of excellent quality and variety, with a certain attention also in the presentation. Truly a pleasant experience.

Really quiet place to spend a few hours in good company. The walnut tree in the center of the outdoor space makes any convivial moment even more relaxing. Excellent food that respects the Salento tradition a lot. Highly recommended
