The years pass, and this place is like a good bottle of wine; it gets better with age.
Tonight, after a while of not being back, we decided to dine here at the Osteria Lombardia, knowing full well they were having a themed evening. As a lover of cacio pepe and saltimbocca alla romana, I couldn't help but be there.
What can I say... it was spectacular. My wife delighted in the amatriciana and the lamb, and to finish, we both had the ricotta and sour cherry tart. I could say it was a shame not to be able to "eat the dishes too," but I'd rather say I felt a little bit like I was in Rome tonight, and it was pleasant.
Compliments to all the staff.
Highly recommended.

We were a bit disappointed by the fact that we were assigned a seat in the cellar... literally: ventilation through two vents 3 meters off the ground and that's it. We were also a bit cramped because the table for eight was decidedly small. That said, we ate quite well, drank an excellent bottle of wine, and
spent a relatively modest amount.

Years of coming. The cuisine is prepared and imaginative, using local products. The service is punctual and efficient. Wine, grappa, and spirits recommended with knowledge and passion. In Merate, the best. They deserve the best.

We went for lunch today for the first time, and what can I say other than a warm welcome, with menu suggestions and excellent food.
For a first-time visitor, the impression was more than excellent, and I'd say I recommend it.
