Truly exceptional food, simple dishes prepared with care. Friendly and discreet service (including a water bowl for the dog), and a spacious and quiet atmosphere (at least in the summer).

The appetizers were good (both the meatballs alla Nerano and the arrosticini), and the assassina was also good. Unfortunately, the beef tagliata was overcooked, making the meat tough. The ideal cooking time for a beef tagliata is rare or medium-rare. The inside should remain red and juicy, and unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Another unpleasant note was the excessively long wait times. Finally, they try to bring all the first courses to the table at the same time, rather than one 20 minutes after the others (pinsa first, then two spaghetti all'assassina). We were there with TheFork, but other than that, the menu prices are still fair.

The place is not very big but welcoming, the food is truly excellent, the atmosphere is youthful and fresh, the service could be improved before a dish is brought the table has to be cleared and set.

Food okay but the chicken was bland and under seasoned. Not even some oil on the table. We had to ask for salt. Service polite but seemed confused, where we first got one table and were then reseated at another one. Waiter forgot to bring the wine cooler he promised, and needed to be reminded. My biggest gripe however is the acoustics . The sound level is seriously annoying. Combine that with many families bringing their small children who scream, and you have a restaurant better avoided by couples looking for a pleasant night out.

If you're looking for a place in Bari where you can eat well, spend a fair amount, and enjoy a great experience, 'From' is definitely worth considering. The menu is endless (first courses, second courses, pinsa, sandwiches, piadinas...): you're truly spoiled for choice, but their pasta all'assassina is the real reason to return. I had the classic one, despite the menu offering several variations, and it's one of the best I've ever had in Bari: just the right amount of spicy, crunchy, and not at all heavy. The location is strategic: central but away from the chaos, so parking is much easier to find. Another plus is their presence on TheFork; we took advantage of the 20% discount, but regardless, the prices are fair and truly affordable compared to the average restaurant in the city. The service was impeccable, and the real added value is Rossella: professional, courteous, and so cheerful it seemed like she'd known us for years. She advised us with extreme expertise and kindness. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
