We discovered this restaurant by chance. Very inviting, beautiful and well-kept environment, beautiful relaxing music in the background. The owner who that day was waiter, chef and sommelier all in one person is very attentive and friendly and explains every dish and every bottle he offers with enthusiasm... not only did we eat very well, everything was of excellent quality but we also tasted some exquisite wine and spent an evening in a warm environment with a very pleasant person! Bravo!!! We will definitely return when we return to Modena.

Easy going and very good restaurant! The place is very beautiful, the atmosphere becomes almost intimate with all the soft lights and the music in the background. The owner is super nice and approachable, he explained the dishes and wines served to us! The dishes were just right, perhaps only the tortellini were a little few, but still excellent!
Prices are average for Modena, super recommended!

A small, fine restaurant in the middle of Modena. One of the best places we've visited in a long time! Matteo the boss also cooks himself and bakes his own black bread. The food is simply wonderful and sensational! Everything, really everything, homemade! Highly recommended!

We went to this place for dinner on Friday. We are welcomed by the owner Matteo, a truly exquisite person who with his spirit makes the room even more pleasant.
Very beautiful and particular spaces and furnishings, with a vast display of wines. If time permits, I suggest asking the owner to tell you the story of Salumificio Frigieri, owned by your grandfather.
The open kitchen is appreciated, cleanliness and order are impeccable. The pasta is rolled by hand and all the products are natural and top quality. The menu will have a total of 15/20 courses and each combination can be modified as everything is done on the spot.
We took the stuffed courgette flowers, the frying was so light that it almost didn't seem fried.
Then we had the passatelli with truffle, a delicacy that melted in the mouth and the Frigieri tagliatelle made with pesto for truly exceptional tortellini.
The selection of wines was very rich and the sommelier recommended the best pairing.
We will definitely be back

I have eaten at Frigieri several times, both as a couple, as a family, and with friends, a perfect place for any occasion.
Fresh food, freshly prepared and taken care of in every detail by the Chef who passionately explains the menu and any off-menu dishes.
Personally, I recommend spectacular appetizers and first courses such as aubergine parmigiana. Exquisite desserts

Authenic & sympathic italian chef. He explains everything in detail to you. The food was amazing. We took the grilled pulpo and Parmigiana di Melanzane as starters and the Gnoccheto al Sorrentino and Tortelloni as Parmesan sauce as main dishes. It's pricy but worth it. The chef most of it doing alone, but with the passion you'd miss in other places. Big thanks to the chef! Would come back here.
