30/10/2025: I was visiting Bologna, Italy, and although I’m not usually a fan of seafood, I decided to dine at this restaurant because it offered one of the most beautiful views in the area. I didn’t realize at first that they served a full-course menu for 40 euros, but it turned out to be well worth it, especially since my budget for a nice meal was around 50 euros.
I walked about 45 minutes to get there from where I was staying, and the walk itself was quite pleasant and interesting. The restaurant offered three types of main dishes: turkey, pork, and fish. I chose the fish because it usually comes in more varieties, and I’m so glad I did—it was honestly the best fish I’ve ever had in my life.
Having worked in seven 5-star hotels and traveled to many countries, I can confidently say this was one of the finest meals I’ve ever experienced. I was the only Asian guest in the restaurant, but I felt completely comfortable and welcome. The server spoke excellent English, was very polite and respectful, and provided wonderful service.
I highly recommend this place, not just for the delicious food, but for the warm hospitality, lovely ambiance, and authentic local experience. Truly a hidden gem in Bologna!
