10/09/2025: My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times in recent years. We love returning because it's close to where we live, the owner and his staff are always very kind and courteous, the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing, you feel very pampered, in short, it's really good. The food, however, is almost always a mixed bag. Given that it's not a cheap restaurant, you'd expect to eat very well, or at least that the classic spaghetti with clams would be much better than what I can make myself at home. However, this isn't often the case. Within the same dinner, there are noteworthy dishes, such as marinated anchovies (wow), and then linguine cacio e pepe di mare, where you can't taste the sea at all but only the cheese, the fantastic tuna meatball (wow), and stuffed squid that never arrived.
I've always wondered when I go to a high-end restaurant how much of my money is actually split between the ambiance (personal setting) and the quality of the food. I'd prefer the latter to be given priority, but I realize that's probably not the case. I mean, I can pay €30 for a plate of spaghetti with clams, but when I leave, damn, I wish I could say, "Wow, that's amazing!"
Anyway, it's still a good restaurant.
Good work
