The pastries are excellent: even though they use refined flours and white sugar, the quality is high. The preparations are meticulously crafted and not so sweet that they leave you thirsty afterward. The service is impeccable.

Where should we go for breakfast? We asked ourselves once we disembarked at the port of Bari. Let's head home and stop along the way. That's how we arrived at Free Time in Giovinazzo, a place where it only takes a few seconds to know you've come to the right place, where the friendliness of the owners, the courtesy of the staff, and the quality of the products offered are rarely matched, deserving of a sixth star. After breakfast, we were all in agreement: it will be our go-to place for future breakfasts in the area.

Today we were in Giovinazzo, we went to have breakfast at this bar, we popped in for a quick peek, but nothing special! Oh well, we sat outside anyway for a quick breakfast in this morning's sweltering heat. The owner arrived, a very kind lady who immediately seemed very knowledgeable, and offered us some desserts that looked delicious...we accepted! Shortly after, she brought us four cream-filled pastries filled with fruit, incredibly delicious!! At this point, the lady, now highly esteemed by the group, proposed an aperitivo lunch for 1:30 PM...the outcome is pointless to describe...an explosion of flavors in seven incredible courses. Summary: we'll be back in Giovinazzo, both for the location, but also for breakfast and an aperitivo at Free Time. Oh...I forgot...besides the lady's beautiful appearance, her husband at the bar is a really nice guy...thank you so much, Free Time!!
