Excellent Italian pastries! A delight, in a baroque setting.

A truly beautiful place, all the sweets are meticulously crafted, of the highest quality I've ever tasted. Eating these cookies doesn't feel like they're stuffed with anything; after a moment, you'll want to drink water from the sheer amount of sugar. Here, you can truly experience the flavor and savor it. The most interesting was the strawberry and raspberry one, where as you bite into it, you can taste the lime juice, which perfectly balanced the sweetness of the fruit. An incredible experience. My second favorite is the black ball, which, for me, tasted comparable to a Ferrero Rocher, but wasn't as sweet, and the cream inside was heavenly. I could write about each one for hours. It's an incredible feeling, best to take home if you want to experience this "moment" in peace.

Klainguti was a historic Genoese pastry shop with a long and renowned tradition, offering high-quality products and a proverbially courteous staff. It closed a few years ago, but I don't know why. Today, while passing by, we saw it reopened and went in. The place has been kept as it was: very elegant, clean, and welcoming. However, I've noticed a considerable increase in prices, especially if you order at a table: an espresso, for example, costs €3, as do croissants. What I found unjustifiable, however, is that the surcharge is applied to each piece ordered, so you pay €1 more for each croissant. If you ask for a slice of cake, however, the surcharge goes up by an additional 30 cents, perhaps because, given the greater weight of the item, the waiters' soles wear out more... I'm not saying it's unfair to charge a table service fee, but honestly, it seems excessive to me, especially since, truth be told, the croissants, cappuccino, and coffee were nothing to write home about. They didn't even bring us a glass of water, which is expected without hesitation in such an elegant establishment. It's worth mentioning the restrooms, which are renovated and spotlessly clean, but access is only possible via stairs to the upper floor. Still, it's an experience worth trying, once in a lifetime.

Magnificent! Very nice pasticceria... excellent ice cream and pastries. If you go to Genoa, go through the historic center and take a look, it's worth the detour!

Superb address in Genova to go in order to eat a really tasty and good cakes or ice cream. I highly recommend the piece called "Gelato Portantur" that is extremely good (local speciality here and kind of mix between a gelato and a proper cake). I was lucky to meet and discuss directly with the pastry chef/owner of the shop (who is French like me), he was super nice to me and he explained a bit to me the story of this pastry, which is the oldest and most famous pastry in Genova. The chef also owns the other pastry called Douce Patisserie Café located nearby in the city. Anyway, I recommend this place for a nice pastry while walking/discovering the city. Moreover, it's really a popular spot for locals and Italian people.

Excellent renovation of the place but the taste completely distorted from what it was, the zena cake and the fastaf brioche have been revisited with a taste more similar to Duce, it's a shame the place is beautiful but what's the point of crossing the city to not find the flavors of the past...

Strolling through the streets of beautiful Genoa, you'll suddenly be struck by the splendid Klainguti shop windows, which feel like a step back in time. In the Salottini, you can sample pastries and many other delicacies. Remarkable.

Very nice setting, the coffee is very good, just right. Same for the frozen desserts and the miniature canolo.
