Klainguti remains a historic place where you are sure to find excellent products and where you are happy to note that the renovation has left that ancient charm intact.

It is a historical caffe/kondotorei in Genova. They have done a very good renovation project keeping the original feeling and atmosphere. Good service. Cappuccino could have been better, honestly I had better cappuccino in Genova. Good filled croissant.

The place has been beautifully restored. A well-maintained historic establishment. It's a shame that the cashier is someone who, as we say in Genoa, is "reffiosa" (above reproachful?), or unfriendly? No one asks for small talk or friendliness; it's not appropriate, it's not appropriate, and it wouldn't even be elegant, but that snobbish attitude is pathetic. Let him look people in the face, issue the receipt, fake a smile, and say hello!

We sat at an inside table and had a coffee, a mango and passion fruit sorbet, a Sacher torte, and a Bacio del Doge pastry. We were extremely satisfied with the quality, richness, and abundance of the dishes. Paola, the barista, was welcoming, smiling, competent, professional, friendly, and helpful. The service was attentive, fast, and reasonably priced. A bright return to the heart of Genoa. The wait is finally over: this historic venue in the city's historic center has reopened its doors and it's a joy to see that tradition has been maintained and enhanced. I'm delighted that the historic desserts have been preserved, such as the legendary Zena cake, the timeless Falstaff brioche and the delicious Venetian Zena. It's a real pleasure to rediscover these flavors that connect us to the past. But it's not just a question of tradition! The offer has been enriched with new cocktails inspired by the scents and flavors of Genoa, such as the refreshing Portofino and the original Camatti Mule. A perfect combination of innovation and local roots. Even the venue, despite having been renovated from top to bottom and now appearing impeccably clean, has managed to maintain a continuum with its roots in the past. You can still feel that historic atmosphere, but with a touch of freshness and modernity that makes it even more welcoming. A truly successful return!
