I went to this place with some friends and I was very satisfied.
Fair prices and generous portions.
We had some fried food as an appetizer (very good supplì) and then some first courses.
Informal place where you can spend a nice evening in company.

I ate wonderfully. The starter alone knocked us out. A king's platter filled with first-choice cured meats and cheeses and the best porchetta I've ever eaten. The fried foods were also amazing and included croquettes, courgette flowers and supplì. Beans, coratella and tripe were devoured by the other diners so I think they liked them. Amazing pinsa all'amatriciana. The cacio e pepe pasta is also very good. The service was not lost even though there were a lot of us. Last but not least we tried the sorbets which were delicious. I got the mango one.

If you are looking for an authentic fraschetta experience in Ostia, La Romanella is the right place! Convivial atmosphere, excellent platters of cold cuts and cheeses, amazing porchetta and true Roman flavours. Highly recommended for an evening with friends dedicated to good food and tradition. Really popular prices. The lamb roasts are excellent.

Tutto molto buono antipasto di salumi misti e formaggi ottimo anche la porchetta buonissima con la crosta croccante le focacce sale e rosmarino per accompagnare ottime anche quelle i primi molto buoni e abbondanti ovviamente io ho preso la padrona di casa la Carbonara veramente buona la carbocrema ed il guanciale croccante per finire tiramisù buono, non ho dato 5 punti per il servizio a tratti pessimo ti lasciavano solo la sala completamente vuota se ti serviva qlcs dovevi aspettare che passasse qlc e ti notasse con la mano, altra nota negativa a mio parere ma sarà che sono del sud ed abituato diversamente ma su un conto di 300€ nn dico gli amari ma almeno il caffè potreste offrirlo. Conto nella media.

Sono stato per la prima volta in questo locale anche per conoscere il gestore. Cucina buona. Per la prima volta ho mangiato la pajata (pasta con budello di vitellino da latte) e devo dire che la qualità è molto buona. Secondo di abbacchio alla brace e cicoria anche molto buono. Da tornare per altri assaggi.
Inutile dire che il gestore e tutto il resto sono veramente simpatici.
