We're guests at Villa Chiopris and lady Giulia made reservation for us. Service is very very good. They have made some suggestions regarding pairing of the wines with food and it was spot on. We've had two appetizers one cold, one warm - smoked trout and octopus. Both were excellent. Trout reminds me of smoked col cut meat. It was cut very thin and delicious. Octopus was served on peas and cream reduction - also very good. We were also served with a few bread choices, all of which were excellent. But I have to put on top bread with fried onions. Absolute champion. For main course we've had monkfish and tuna. Monkfish was cooked and served with various vegetables. Tuna was prepared in sesame seeds and also with various vegetables. And for desert we've had cream caramel (cream brulé) and sorbet vanilla (ice cream actually).

Outstanding meal, friendly respectful service, great value. They serve quality ingredients expertly prepared, including local specialties like frigo, tagliolini with San Daniele prosciutto, and delicious grilled meats. The gubana dessert was tops. Highly recommend this fine restaurant.

Nice atmosphere, but the food isn't up to par! The cjarsons weren't cooked and didn't taste like butter and sage, and the tiramisu didn't taste like tiramisu! Excessive value for money!

We've been here several times, they've always welcomed us warmly, the food and pizza are delicious! We'll always come back, I absolutely recommend it!

This evening was an excellent experience. We wanted to try the pizzas. Beautifully presented, with a light and crispy dough, high-quality toppings, and a wide variety of choices. The service was impeccable, attentive to our every request, professional, and fast. They offer a wide selection of wines, presented with passion and expertise (I recommend the Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer). The desserts also confirmed the quality and preparation of the kitchen. We will definitely return to try the restaurant.

Passing through for a short vacation, we luckily discovered this fabulous restaurant, where we wanted to try Friulian cuisine. We ordered cjarsons, tagliolini with San Daniele ham, frico, and to finish, a fabulous gubana and a chocolate cake with a soft center, all washed down with the excellent Friulano wine from Livon, their cellar. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, but a special mention goes to the cjarsons and the gubana, which we reviewed. The service was very friendly yet professional: they explained the dishes and their interpretations of them. The ambiance was also very pleasant and well-kept: our table was next to the fireplace, which created a lovely atmosphere and was free of the slightest smell of smoke. Finally, we found the bill to be completely reasonable, in fact, perhaps even a little low, considering the quality of the products and the prices at similarly sized restaurants. We were so satisfied that we wanted to return the next two nights of our stay, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed on those nights. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars instead of 5. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
