Franco's Restaurant In Lacco ameno

Loved my stay here- it was definitely really nice!! The rooms have amazing amenities and the service is top notch- everyone who works here is fantastic. The only thing is we really wanted to go to the boutique but it was never opened when we tried to go (even when it was within the hours) and some things were randomly very high priced.. for example when we got a $15 salad for lunch and asked if we could add chicken to it and they said yes and brought chicken on it but when the bill came it was a $26 chicken entree that was charged. I feel like that should’ve been made clear because normally adding chicken to a salad would not be twice the price of the salad. Also I don’t recommend going to the beach club that they have a partnership with- it was not nearly as nice as the hotel, so much so that we left right when we got there. All in all it was a beautiful hotel and I recommend it!

The San Montano Resort is a true gem on Ischia. Spectacular views, elegant and clean rooms, relaxing thermal pools, and a dream spa. The staff is impeccable: kind, attentive, and always smiling. Superlative breakfasts, refined dinners featuring local ingredients. An oasis of peace and beauty where you feel pampered from the first to the last moment. Highly recommended!

Stepping into the San Montano felt like finding a new home away from home. The staff was lovely; always attentive but not hovering. The views across the entire property were unbelievable - they are the only property on Ischia that has direct sunset and sunrise views daily. The included breakfast spread was delicious, as were all of the meals we ate on property. We were upgraded into a suite and it was huge with a beautiful sea view. Although not directly in town, it was an easy shuttle into Lacco Ameno and easy to get around the island on your own. Ischia truly felt like a dream for me and this hotel played a huge role in that. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I'm torn. The hotel is magnificent: wherever you look, the view is splendid. The service is absolutely perfect, from breakfast to reception (special mention to the two lovely young men at the front desk), including the housekeeping staff. Breakfast is delicious: you can find absolutely everything you could possibly want, both sweet and savory. We were lucky enough to be invited by the manager to dine in the hotel restaurant, and the food is just as excellent as the service. I couldn't give it 5 stars solely because of the room, which I found out of step with the rest of the property. It's dated, poorly maintained, and the quality of the tissues/toilet paper is worthy of a budget hotel—which is incomprehensible given the overall standard.

My husband and I traveled here for our honeymoon and we were blown away. The hotel itself is stunning with a fabulous restaurant attached as well as places to sit and drink cocktails for the evening. The pool is heated and has multiple areas to sit and lounge. The lifeguard even gets the beds ready for you! The thing I was most impressed with was the shuttle service. It takes you into the town Lacco Ameno which has great shops and food and also takes you to the beach where you can get private seating. From there you can also bus around the island and see some of the bigger towns like Forio. The staff was accommodating and welcoming throughout our entire stay. Seriously, if you want to relax and spoil yourself stay here. We already want to come back!
