Franco's Restaurant In Lacco ameno

Oh my goodness, this hotel is LEVELS. It blew my mind that such a beautiful hotel could exist, with not just one but eleven natural thermal spring pools, with the most divine panoramic views overlooking the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The rooms were stylish, beautiful and comfortable and I was particularly amazed that there is a Dyson hairdryer in every room. The spa was out of this world with such great views. Loved the breakfast selection. Most of all, I really loved the receptionists and the team. Would so love to stay again. We went off season at the start of April and found everything to be perfect.

Stunning resort, incredible staff and delicious food! I recommend anyone to stay here for as long as you can, you will not regret it!

One of the best hotels that we have stayed at due to its lovely staff, atmosphere and facilities. It is highly recommended for couples.

Wow! What an amazing stay we had! This place and location is incredible. From the moment you arrive at the reception and get a beautiful tour of the property, to the amazing staff at the restaurant in the evening. They have a beautiful infinity indoor spa, whereas we started all our mornings in addition with the indoor gym. The bar is incredible and we decided to have dinner at the restaurant all three of our nights we stayed. We truly recommend this place 🩷

We had a wonderful first stay in Ischia! Location was great. It’s at the top of a mountain but has a quick and free shuttle to town. We used the bus system to get around the rest of the island - if you ask, they will shuttle you from the ferry port or to a bus stop for free as well! Lots of thermal pools that were nice to try. Only one pool with cold water, big but could use an update. Food was delicious but pricey - lots of options. Room was clean but small, beds are very firm. Nice products included in bathrooms, robes, slippers and flip flops! Staff was lovely. Breakfast is included and delicious!

Best in Ischia. We had a duplex suite with a pool, overlooking the sunset. Superb. Food was great, and the killer view from the restaurant was a cherry on top.

Spectacular location, outstanding level of service, great, well-maintained facilities. The hotel/resort has a commanding position on the top of a hill. The views from the property are nothing short of breathtaking. You’d be constantly taking photos, non-stop. It is hard to believe how beautiful everything is - the views of Mount Vesuvius, the shoreline, the blue water, the main island mountain - all look glorious. The external and internal common facilities are well-maintained and staffed. All gardens are manicured, from flowers and lemon groves to pine trees and decorative shrubs. All pools and facilities are fantastic, and the pool staff is super helpful. The common areas are beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. The breakfast setup is fantastic with everything from sweet to savory available, including a machine to squeeze local oranges into juice :) Eggs of any style are available to order. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Views from the breakfast area are incredible. The hotel staff is super efficient, friendly, and helpful. Thank you. They never forget any request. I lack data points on any other room but ours. Our room had a gorgeous sea view and was perfectly functional. It was clear that the building was an older one, renovated a while ago - at least our room was. The room is where I could provide a bit of constructive feedback for the management. The chest of drawers was a beautiful antique piece, but it was hard to open due to the key being the only handle, and it was constantly falling out. The bathroom could use a bit of love and refresh - it looked a bit tired. However, these are super small things in comparison with the overall experience of relaxation, feeling pampered, and being taken care of. I wanted to thank the wonderful and helpful staff. We flew from New York City to Naples and took a ferry to the island. Needless to say, we were exhausted when we arrived at the hotel. But — wow — totally worth the travel!! Very expansive and beautiful property lined with lemon and olive trees. There are multiple pools, some heated by the underground hot springs that are natural to the island. Rooms are so clean, comfortable, and include all the small incidentals (toothbrush, comb, slippers, etc.) For lunch, we ate fresh pasta, pizza, and salad on the terrace overlooking the city and had an equally fabulous dinner of fresh fish, pasta, and local wines on a terrace overlooking the sea. Olive oil is divine. Day trips for shopping, walking the castle grounds, & hiking are easily arranged by hotel staff. Highly recommend.

We stayed at San Montano in June 2024 for 2 nights to kick off our honeymoon. It was the perfect way to start our honeymoon! It was relaxing and romantic with great service. The views are truly outstanding! We took advantage of their free shuttle to the beach where we had complimentary sunbeds and umbrella for the day which was so nice. We also paid 35 Euro for their shuttle service from the ferry terminal pickup. After a long travel day from Canada it was so nice to have this pre-arranged. We also took advantage of their complimentary shuttle service into town for a dinner one night. The front desk staff were very helpful. We found the room to be a bit tight but it was fine for 2 nights, I appreciated that they had a Dyson hairdryer in the room! Finally, the breakfast spread was amazing with unbelievable views! It was a lovely stay and we hope to return again one day, hopefully for a longer period! :)

Paradiso. A word used a lot at San Montano and a very accurate description of the experience there. Perched up in the hills above Lacco Ameno, the hotel has a beautiful view of the surrounding area; complete with over 10 pools, including many thermal pools, you certainly won't be short on swimming or relaxation options. The spa is also complete with many options, including the scenic and relaxing massage in the lemon grove. The food is also fantastic, with many casual and fine dining options, including fantastic pizza and a lovely sunset bar, you certainly won't go hungry. You also have the option to take the shuttle into the nearby town for additional food options. The highlight of the trip though was the staff; everyone was beyond friendly and helpful and always eager to make your experience even better. A special thank you to Marco for the outstanding experience and wonderful conversations during our stay, above and beyond. The only slight (and I mean slight) negative was the room; we stayed in the lovely Olea suite which was sizeable and complete with its own mini pool. The room itself did struggle to stay cool initially but was fixed promptly. The design was a bit odd with furniture partially blocking doors, slightly uncomfortable bed and a fairly small shower. That being said, it was a great room overall. We will certainly be returning to San Montano.
