I Fradei Kempes is an institution in the center of Padua. The food is excellent. The menu often features traditional dishes. Their pasta e fagioli (pasta and beans) is a must. The staff is always very kind and friendly. You feel right at home. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a 1960s and 1970s osteria. Wonderful!

03/03/2026: We went to this restaurant for a late lunch. Before arriving, I called to ask if we could stay longer and was told yes, so no problem there. The atmosphere is pleasant, very homey and welcoming. The food is good, and the quality is excellent. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't particularly friendly; I felt like they were almost a nuisance. Furthermore, the price seemed a bit high for the service I received. Overall, a decent experience, but with some room for improvement.
