Forno Palomba In Treviso

Before visiting the beautiful and interesting exhibition from Picaso to Van Gogh, we stopped at this bakery for a snack. The very kind lady offered us linguacce. Linguacce is a type of flatbread that can be filled in various ways. I chose the grilled vegetable filling, and my friend chose grilled vegetables and provola cheese. We enjoyed our filling while sitting comfortably at one of the tables. The coffee is good, I can confirm. They have very inviting cakes and biscuits, and the very kind lady offered us a cantuccio-style one made with almonds, chocolate chips, pieces of red fruit, and truly delicious honey. They serve first courses for lunch, but unfortunately, when we arrived it was a bit late and everything had sold out, but it was still a good idea to try the linguacce. Maria Eugenia Leonardi

We were staying at a nearby hotel and found this wonderful cafe for breakfast two days in a row. A real find. Fantastic pastries (especially the amazing Venetian fritelle) and lovely bread and coffee. Despite my inability to speak Italian, the owner managed to understand what I wanted and she couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. An excellent breakfast for five for under €20 (in total) - wow! Grazie mille!

A family-run artisan bakery, offering authentic and delicious Roman bread and pizza, both white and red, filled with escarole. A varied lunch menu includes first courses and trays of lasagna and parmigiana. Roberta and Sandro's friendly service completes a truly delightful experience. The cakes and biscuits are excellent.
