Helpful and polite staff. Unique dishes! Excellent chef. We had a mushroom soup off the menu, delicious with lots of spices.

As soon as I left Foresteria San Giacomo, I said to myself, "How come I haven't been here before?" The answer came naturally: too many disappointments in the area, especially the burger joints where you pay a lot and find neither quality nor courtesy.
Here, however, everything finally changes. The ambiance is meticulously maintained, the staff is kind and truly knowledgeable: they welcome you with a smile and know how to best advise you. The food? Simply excellent. I had a truly tasty burger, paired with a perfect craft beer, recommended by the waiter with great professionalism. Some friends chose the couscous and couldn't stop raving about how good it was.
And if you're vegan or vegetarian, like my wife, you'll find surprising dishes here: she tried a vegan stew that made her happier than I'd seen her in a long time.
When the bill arrived, I was struck by the perfect balance between price and quality. You leave feeling full, happy, and wanting to return as soon as possible. A place I'd call a wonderful discovery, capable of restoring faith in good dining in Alcamo!

Amazing, words are truly at a loss! Super friendly and helpful staff, a nice and relaxed atmosphere, and the food; incredibly delicious! Truly enjoyed every bite! So if you're ever in the area and looking for good food, this is the place!

Truly a great "last dinner" for a vacation in Sicily. We tried two appetizers (a mixed antipasto and a sfincione), a seafood couscous (really delicious), tuna bruciuluni with an exquisite tomato sauce, and an excellent ricotta and coffee cake paired with a nice Marsala. The price was very fair for what we ate; probably the best meal of the vacation, and it's a shame we only went on our last night. Very attentive service, and the waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu (perhaps a tad too quick in clearing away the dishes, but since the place wasn't crowded, it's understandable that he wanted to be "present"), and the service was very fast. What can I say? A place that deserves great success. Well done!

In one of the narrow streets near Alcamo Castle, you'll find Foresteria San Giacomo.
The staff welcomed us impeccably, even though we arrived late for our reservation.
Giacomo, the waiter who served us in the dining room, is very good at explaining the dishes on and off the menu.
My partner and I wondered why the place was called that, and he was brilliant at reconstructing the history of the place (no spoilers, just ask them).
Delicious dishes, flavors of authentic Sicily, far from touristy influences.
Special mention goes to the tuna "vraciuluni" (I hope I spelled that correctly), the tagliatelle with octopus ragù, and the ravioli alla norma.
I'm not attaching photos because we practically devoured them.

Great place, very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent food! We were a table of 8, each with a different dish, and we had a great time. Excellent value for money.

A restaurant with high-quality food. We had a sfincione appetizer, followed by truly excellent grilled octopus. Perhaps I would have used fewer chips, but only to further enhance the octopus and the truly excellent chickpea cream!
The dessert was a winner, too!
A glass of Marsala and a slice of amazing peach cake.
