Lunch after visit Fixed menu which does not specify that the shank arrives already cut unlike what they bring when choosing from the à la carte menu. The staff is friendly and the place is clean Too bad for this lack

Beautiful experience, we had what we expected, peace and tranquility, view of Subiaco, parking for the car, basic rooms (no WiFi and no TV), excellent genuine breakfast with cafeteria to be improved, home-style dinner, fish-based Friday dinner not up to par.

very useful and very good stop after visit to the Sacro Speco, welcoming staff, good service, excellent value for money, fixed and à la carte menu, each diner can choose which one to opt for, house red wine deserves mention, there is an internal lift to avoid having to take the stairs in case of disabled or elderly people

Wonderful, charming, peaceful place. Immersed in nature, every stone of the Monastery transmits emotions, lived history, the mystical environment. The landscape on the wooded hills is enchanting, no less the view of the village of Subiaco.

Peaceful stay in Subiaco, in a quiet environment and with great availability and professionalism of the staff.

We stayed overnight and had dinner in this unique place. The restaurant, in addition to the kind and professional staff, brought excellent food and also plenty of it. What can I say, recommended to all those who want to have a sensorial and spiritual experience🌿🌷

We ate at Forestiera as a pilgrim group from UK of 46 people . We traveled there from Rome to visit the spectacular monasteries of St Benedict and St Scolastica. We booked in advance and the large private room was already ready for us laid out on two monastery style tables complete with bread and wine. The four course meal consisted of an amazing anti pasto of salamis and cheese followed by gnocchi in a delicious sauce, followed by a beef casserole with roast potatoes and salad. Then a home made slice of apricot tart . The service , taste and presentation of the meal felt like a wedding reception. All the pilgrims were thrilled with the meal and afterwards we all sat in the sunshine overlooking the stunning views to drink coffees. I would definitely return to eat at the Forestiera.

Ci siamo fermati a pranzo nel ristorante della foresteria dopo aver visitato il Santo Speco ed il monastero di Santa Scolastica per un pranzo leggero. L'idea era di un pranzo veloce, in realtà abbiamo trovato un luogo semplice nel suo interno ma con pietanze gustose, genuine e ben fatte. Le porzioni erano molto abbondanti. Consigliamo quindi di fermarsi assolutamente ma di considerare che si tratta di un pasto più che completo (alla sera abbiamo saltato cena!) a prezzi da foresteria.
