The nearby lake south of the monastery, complete with waterfall, can be reached via a beautiful nature trail.

We at the dog trekking house often organize trips at the Foresteria and what can I say? Spectacular location, excellent position, clean rooms and everything you need, excellent hospitality.

The location of the Foresteria di Santa Scolastica is absolutely stunning. The facility is hospitable and well-organized, and the welcome is professional, cheerful, and very helpful. The Chapel with its Angels is a balm for all hearts. The restaurant is good, and the dining room staff was very efficient and organized, even in a challenging situation like New Year's Eve dinner. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and welcoming. The temperature could be improved, especially on the third floor. Overall, a wonderful three-day vacation in a marvelous place surrounded by so much beauty to discover. A visit recommended for everyone, including those with pets.

A perfect stay, the room was warm and comfortable, and everything was very quiet. We chose half board, and the dinners were superb and the breakfast excellent. The staff was super friendly. We were truly impressed with all the places we visited nearby. We'll definitely be back!

19/02/2026: The fish is always incredibly fresh, as evidenced by the fact that the restaurant is always busy, even during the week. It's a casual restaurant that I love because it eliminates the unnecessary plating and presentation, which I honestly can do without given the quality-price ratio, which I've never experienced in any other restaurant in Italy. As soon as I eat something that doesn't quite work, my stomach feels upset and I have digestive issues. I've never had the slightest discomfort here, despite having been frequenting the restaurant for many, many years, and I always eat generously because everything is so good. Well done, you are the jewel in the crown of true Italian dining. Many renowned restaurants where you charge three or four times as much should visit you to understand many things.
