I went for lunch yesterday for the first time and I had a great time. Genuine eating, excellent service thanks to the lady and owner who, with her kindness, went back and forth for the entire lunch time, letting us savor their delicacies, especially the honey jam. Home-made chilli pepper.

While browsing the web, I read the reviews of this small and welcoming place, and we had lunch for the Epiphany. I just have to confirm the excellent reviews... all good, genuine, delicious and tasty. The sweet and sour meatballs with onion are worthy of an Oscar. , the appetizers with local products, the right crispy potatoes, the homemade pasta with ragù, the chilli and bitter orange jams, and finally the wild boar very tender, but I forgot many other things. None of the dishes left anything to be desired. The owner was very friendly and punctual, to get there we took a very tortuous road, and before sitting down we had promised ourselves that it would be the first and the last, but ...after having lunch we changed our minds, luckily during the return phase we changed the route, which is much more convenient. We will return!!

Sicily on the plate, there are many food options that represent all the aromas and flavors of this Messina area
A simple, sincere cuisine that represents the Sicilian culinary tradition very well, the cheeses with homemade jams
The lemon leaves that release their essential aromas in the meatballs, the slow cooking of the veal in foil
The rusticini, and the vegetables in varied preparations....
The restaurant offers a fantastic view outside and is well equipped for children and large spaces for the disabled, the spacious and clean bathrooms are simple people with a close-knit family management
Maybe dessert (very well done)
I would have liked it a little soaked....

Ristorante immerso nel verde e nella pace assoluta non molto distante dal borgo di Tripi. Gabriella e sua figlia Giulia ci hanno accolto in modo impeccabile, cucina con squisiti ed interminabili antipasti uno piu' buono dell'altro, formaggi e salumi locali, polpette in agrodolce e la peperonata buona come quella delle nostre nonne e molto altro.... Maccheroni al sugo con polpette eccezionali, vino locale frutta e dolce caffe e amari per un pranzo da ricordare e da rifare. Grazie mille!!!

Accoglienza calorosa. Gli antipasti a noi sono piaciuti molto perché piatti della tradizione con tanta verdura di stagione. Non abbiamo potuto assaggiare né i primi, né i secondi perché eravamo sazi dopo gli antipasti. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Eating as it once did, completely immersed in nature; this is the right place for you. Unique menu proposed by the cooks according to seasonality, typical Sicilian food. It's better if you arrive hungry, but we filled up only with the appetizers, especially cured meats and cheeses (extremely good lard), the jams with cheese to try (blackberry, figs, etc.), a trio of fried foods (arancini, pidoncini, panelle), caponata, stuffed aubergines. First pasta alla norm with lemon zest, second veal baked in foil with a side dish of potatoes, fruit, the dessert a sort of paradise cake with a very delicate French Chantilly type cream, the fortified wine with cherry leaves called "Maracu".
In the summer I recommend you go in the evening, as being in the mountains, there is little light pollution as you can see the entire sky, plus Etna erupting in the distance, perhaps bringing a telescope would be the best!, in the end you can see Tripi with the castle nestled in the mountain.

Really good and genuine food for adults and children. Really familiar and homely atmosphere, very nice owner/chef, with a mini park for children. I recommend it!!!
