I have been visiting this bar for 20 years and it is still authentic. The owner always greets me kindly even after I had not been to Matera for 4 years. Every six months it is always a pleasure to sit on the terrace. Close your eyes and imagine the many changes of the piazza. Once the only café on this gem of a square in Matera….

18/07/2024: Dear Laltrapizza Matera team, I've never eaten such a great pizza in my life - I'm almost 50 and have been eating pizza regularly my whole life! I have no idea how you guys did that. Incredibly delicious dough, imaginatively topped, baked to perfection. Basil is not just for decoration, but in abundance. You guys are exceptionally friendly, there was even schnapps and ice cream on the house, even though I didn't order much. Dear people, if you want the ultimate taste experience, visit this pizzeria!!! Insider tip outside the city walls of Matera. Thank you for this tasteful reminder!🥰
