Quaint restaurant tucked away in a cave with delicious traditional, Roman dishes. The cacio de Pepe was exceptionally balanced, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The fried meatballs were unexpectedly phenomenal.

I had a bit of a mixed experience here. Admittedly the food was delicious, both pasta dishes we had ordered were outstanding, and so was the Tiramisu. Also it was not overpriced. The service on the other hand was pretty underwhelming. The hostess couldn't care less about us even though we had a reservation and the waiters were just polite enough to not be considered rude... The location itself was nothing to write home about. I'm afraid this place has gotten a victim of his own success (which my Roman friends confirmed). So all in all I don't think I would recommend it despite the food being good.
These days, only a handful of things truly impress me. The food at Al Flavio's unquestionably falls into that category! The Aubergine dish left me utterly amazed, and it's something I find myself reminiscing about every single day. As for the amatriciana, it stands as the finest I've ever had 🤭

Traditional dishes expertly made. Had the feel of an old establishment loved by locals. We were seated outside, which turned out to be a mistake for a mosquito magnet like me, though.

The place itself is nice, nicely designed and area is good, quiet. The food was not as good as expected. Very salty, potato was undercooked, and ravioli was aldente. The service was pretty bad, they seated us and only 20 minutes after and only after we called a waiter we got menues. Overall, it was a mediocre experience. For the family of three we spend 130 euros.

E' stata una piacevole sorpresa, piatti tipici romani ben cucinati, rigatoni con la pajata, involtini e carciofo alla giudia sono da consigliare. bagni puliti, servizio rapido, camerieri gentili. Situato nel quartiere Testaccio, parcheggio facile.

Siamo andati nella filiale di Piazza dei Quiriti,mancavo da un anno anche per via della pessima esperienza con il personale della sala della scorsa volta
Grazie al signor Maurizio che ci ha accolte con garbo e gentilezza mi sono ricreduta
Sicuramente i suoi modi,quelli di un tempo e degni della tradizione del ristorante sono stati un eccellente cornice
Il vino sempre buono nel rispetto della tradizione romana
