23/10/2025: When six friends gather around a table, it's often said that company is important. In this case, not only was the company good, but so were the dishes offered by the host, who in this case was a hostess. While waiting for the latecomers, searching for the Aranova exit on the Aurelia, where the Caminetto is located, we began under a beautiful pergola with a cheese platter, accompanied by a glass of wine that kept the conversation flowing. Once the rest of the group arrived, the cheeses were joined by a platter of cured meats and various cold cuts, along with some very light fried vegetables and anchovies, which were quickly polished off. For the first course, gnocchi alla matriciana, asparagus and taleggio risotto, and truffled tagliolini with pistachios were the most delicious. For the second course, marinated pork, sea bream fillet, grilled and roast calamari, and a steak delighted everyone's palate. Baked potatoes were the side dish. Alcoholic sorbet, coffee, grappa, and a spare vodka for the return trip ended the evening with a bang. The price was reasonable, and the service was courteous and helpful. What can I say? Well done, we'll be back.
