We went for lunch today and had a great time. The waitress was very kind and we ate very well and my father-in-law really appreciated the cod and the first cacio e pepe was also special and the coffee, I would dare say, was perfect.

Unbelievable food, a real taste of Italy. So far in Rome it’s the best I’ve had. Nadia was our waitress and was lovely. Couldn’t recommend enough 🤌🏽 Caio

Absolutely fantastic food. Very popular place. We reserved a table for 7pm and the restaurant became full very shortly thereafter. We enjoyed the melanzana parmigiana (do not skip this - I make an amazing one at home and this was unbelievable), the artichoke, pork with mushrooms, rigatoni carbonara and amatriciana. All absolutely unreal. I will dream of that carbonara for years to come. The moscato we had was a great compliment.

Yes it is a historic trattoria with a rustic and easy-going atmosphere, however they assigned me a table near the kitchen with frequent passage of staff who often used an excessively loud tone of voice. Cook like this, a carbonara without pepper is not a real carbonara. I congratulate a very kind, diligent and professional waitress

21/03/2025: Only one man in command...Sandrone, legendary chef of Roman and fifth quarter cuisine! If you love the genre, you can't help but come and delight your palate at Agustarello in Testaccio. Excellent dishes, plentiful and satisfying. Excellent value for money.
