We stayed at the hotel for four days – as a family with two small children and together with friends – and our impressions were very mixed.
Rooms & Grounds
We had a chalet that was really nicely and comfortably furnished. Our chalet was located relatively far back on the grounds, which meant we had to walk quite a bit. The children's areas, such as the mud room, art studio, and ninja course, were really great – you can tell that a lot of heart and soul went into them.
The current reception area feels a bit oppressive; the new one, which is currently under construction, looks much more spacious.
Pool Area
The pool area was one of our biggest disappointments. It was very cold and drafty, so we only used it briefly once in four days. Even in the baby pool area, it was noticeably drafty, and other guests felt the same way. A much warmer, more comfortable pool area would be really important for a family hotel.
Food & Catering
Important to know: Drinks are not included – except at breakfast – and this should be communicated more clearly.
We found the food rather bland overall. While there was a selection at both the lunch and dinner buffets, there was little variety or particularly memorable flavors. Breakfast was identical on all four days.
Unfortunately, my husband and I both got food poisoning. Since neither our children nor our friends were affected, and we had eaten a dish that no one else had, it's likely that was the cause. As a result, we missed almost all of our four days, which was a real shame.
Service: The service was friendly and attentive, sometimes a little forgetful, but overall warm and welcoming. The bedtime stories that were hung on our doors every evening were a particularly lovely touch – a thoughtful idea.
Safety: We were a bit alarmed by the snow-covered swimming pond in the middle of the grounds. It was barely visible, and our children ran towards it while playing, unaware that it contained water. It was only when the ice cracked that my husband was alerted. Luckily, no one was hurt. From our perspective, clearer warning signs/marking of the pond are urgently needed.
Atmosphere
The chalets were comfortably furnished. The hotel is surrounded by mountains, which makes it feel quite dark overall. This is fine for a few days, but we found it somewhat oppressive.
Departure Day
What we didn't know beforehand: Our departure day was also the last day before an extended hotel closure. As a result, all guests had to leave by 1 p.m., while dismantling was visibly underway. This created a rather hectic and not very relaxed atmosphere. Although breakfast was extended to brunch, the drinks were cleared away promptly at 11 a.m. – rather inappropriate for a final day.
Conclusion
We have stayed in several 4- and 5-star family hotels and had significantly better experiences. Due to the points mentioned, we unfortunately would not recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, this vacation has set the bar very high for future trips. Everything was simply perfect. You'd expect that for the price, but when expectations are met, you can only give 5 stars!
The concept is thoroughly well thought out. The childcare for children under 3 initially put me off a bit because it was quite busy, but once the parents and siblings gradually said their goodbyes around 10:00, it became quieter, and the caregivers did a great job. Our daughter, not quite 2.5 years old, happily stayed every day from 10:00 to 12:00. We parents didn't want any more time, but it would have worked out fine. During that time, the adults-only area was a wonderful retreat for us to relax.
There's so much on offer that we were almost stressed out trying to see everything at least once during our "mere" 4-day stay. We didn't manage it; we didn't even get to the "welcome drink" until the evening before our departure. You could easily spend a week or more here.
The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The service left nothing to be desired. The dining rooms are divided into small sections, which keeps the noise level down. The food was very good, but unfortunately, it declined somewhat over the four days we were there, and yes, I have to agree with some other reviews that there's room for improvement. We were there in the off-season, so the families were mostly traveling with children who weren't yet of school age. The children were generally well-behaved, and the parents were mostly very keen to set a good example for their children. There were hardly any children with electronic devices at the table, which is unfortunately not the case in other hotels. Greetings were exchanged, and the atmosphere was friendly and respectful for a hotel. The high standard is simply palpable.
We would gladly return in the off-season, but the price is unfortunately too high for us in the peak season, and we certainly question whether it's still reasonable. For us, however, it was an exceptional experience and a wonderful time that we will remember for a long time.
