This gelatos shop was recommended by the guard of the Medici chapel after we were done with our tour. We asked what we should try and she recommended the festival. My favorite was the coffee gelato and the cheesecake.

I don't think I've ever tried anything other than zuppa inglese from them. Because I go there for the zuppa inglese gelato! This mix of flavors and memories, combined with the Alchermes liqueur, evokes so many emotions in me, and the gelato is delicious. The tiny pieces of sponge cake give this flavor a very special texture.

After a long walk in Italy, my ankles were aching. I found a well-reviewed ice cream shop. After entering, I chose two flavors. She first asked if I wanted a cone or a cup. 05/10/2025: Historic Florentine pastry shop. The owners and pastry chef have been the same for at least 20 years... consistently top-quality products. Excellent for breakfast (savory or sweet) as well as for cakes, such as the chocolate and semolina cake, the schiacciata alla fiorentina, or their zuccotto. Another delicacy that very few make anymore are the savory cheese biscuits... crumbly and incredibly flavorful, a great choice for a cocktail hour at home.
