I only learned the story of this historic and family-run place tonight. From a hardware store to a meeting place for food and wine. Excellent food, service and hospitality with live music.

I drank some cocktails on two occasions, found it by chance while wandering around Vucciria, I went back. Nice place, trained staff, pleasant music and special atmosphere. It detaches itself from average of local venues.

During a walk in the center of Palermo, we stopped for an aperitif at Ferramenta, a place located in a strategic position and appreciated for its welcoming atmosphere. The friendly and professional staff welcomed us with a smile and immediately put us at ease. We asked the sommelier for advice on choosing the wine, and we were offered a glass of Terrazze dell'Etna, a Sicilian wine produced on the slopes of Etna. The sommelier passionately described the characteristics of the wine, underlining the quality of the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes used in the production. The glass was served at the right temperature, allowing us to fully appreciate its intense aromas and balanced taste. The price of €10 per glass seemed appropriate, considering the quality of the wine and the attention to service. The aperitif was accompanied by a wide selection of appetizers, which made the experience even more pleasant. In conclusion, Ferramenta proved to be an excellent choice for a quality aperitif in the heart of Palermo. Durante una passeggiata nel centro di Palermo, ci siamo fermati per un aperitivo da Ferramenta, un locale situato in una posizione strategica e apprezzato per la sua atmosfera accogliente. Il personale, cordiale e professionale, ci ha accolto con un sorriso e ci ha subito messi a nostro agio. Abbiamo chiesto consiglio al sommelier per la scelta del vino, e ci è stato proposto un calice di Terrazze dell'Etna, un vino siciliano prodotto sulle pendici dell'Etna. Il sommelier ha descritto con passione le caratteristiche del vino, sottolineando la qualità delle uve Nerello Mascalese e Nerello Cappuccio utilizzate nella produzione. Il calice è stato servito alla giusta temperatura, permettendoci di apprezzarne appieno i profumi intensi e il gusto equilibrato. Il prezzo di 10 € al calice ci è sembrato adeguato, considerando la qualità del vino e l'attenzione al servizio. L'aperitivo è stato accompagnato da un'ampia selezione di stuzzichini, che hanno reso l'esperienza ancora più piacevole. In conclusione, Ferramenta si è rivelato un'ottima scelta per un aperitivo di qualità nel cuore di Palermo. We had been there three times in one week. There is enough wine selection. And starters are pretty good. The main course offers a large portion.

We arrive on Saturday evening and although we had no reservation (and the place was full) they set up the table for dinner within 10 minutes. Excellent food and wine, attentive and precise service. The guys are very kind. We will definitely be back
